Macaroni Grill Welcomes New Ownership, Embarks on Next Chapter

[DENVER, OCTOBER 11, 2023] – Romano’s Macaroni Grill, a beloved restaurant experience with dishes inspired by Italian country cuisine, is excited to announce its new ownership, RMG Acquisition Company, and a recommitment to the same approach to hospitality that has made it a staple for so many since 1988.

With a polished, casual atmosphere and an open kitchen that allows guests to see their food prepared firsthand, Macaroni Grill is known for techniques that blend Italian traditions with progressive culinary inspiration. It was named the No. 1 Italian Restaurant Chain in America by a Nation’s Restaurant News consumer survey, and currently has 28 company-owned locations plus 10 franchise locations in 14 states—with brand new franchise opportunities becoming available again beginning in December 2023.

RMG Acquisition Company's management team includes a new CEO, COO, and CFO, as well as other seasoned leaders from across the food service industry. Romano’s Macaroni Grill is also the mastermind behind “TwistedMac,” a takeout-first concept featuring creations from the Macaroni Grill kitchen that has fast become a favorite of food-delivery app customers.

This new team has pledged to quickly and aggressively make changes that enhance the overall dining experience, while also acknowledging and celebrating the significant ongoing commitment from Macaroni Grill team members who have continued to provide guests with an exceptional hospitality experience on every visit.
