Today, cards were in the air at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and Horseshoe Las Vegas with the 55th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) officially underway, a series that follows its record-breaking summer in 2023 with 214,641 entrants from more than 114 different countries. The 2024 series began in style with Vegas Golden Knights Stanley Cup champion, 2023 Conn Smythe Trophy winner and “Original Misfit” Jonathan Marchessault delivering the iconic “Shuffle Up and Deal” to kick off the WSOP’s first opening weekend event centered around previous Main Event champions, Event #1: Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout.

Today, with Monmouth Park we celebrated the start of construction on a trackside sportsbook and entertainment complex that will raise the bar for sports wagering and race viewing venues at Monmouth Park in New Jersey. The state-of-the-art facility and full-service restaurant combo is set to open in 2025, featuring 16,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor sports viewing with wall-to-wall flatscreen televisions, food from nationally known restaurant partner Shake Shack, and more than 25 self-service betting kiosks.

The Nobu Hotel Caesars New Orleans will provide Nobu’s signature style infused with a unique local New Orleans flair. The New Orleans location marks the third hotel and fourth restaurant within the Caesars Entertainment Empire.

Nobu Hotel Caesars New Orleans will be located within the new Caesars Tower at Caesars New Orleans. Spanning two floors, Nobu Hotel Caesars New Orleans will feature a dedicated reception desk and offer 54 exclusive guest rooms designed by Rockwell Group. Each room embodies the iconic and luxurious essence of Nobu, blending Japanese influences with modern elegance. The hotel is expected to open in the fall of 2024.

Last night, television star and restauranteur Lisa Vanderpump hosted a wild and star-studded opening of her latest restaurant in partnership with our company, Wolf by Vanderpump at Harveys Lake Tahoe. To commemorate the occasion, the television icon surprised guests with an extravagant “white carpet” arrival alongside her dog, Marky, as they made their way into the venue where guests were treated to a taste of the stunning new restaurant.

Vanderpump was joined by some of her famous friends, including fellow Bravo TV star Garcelle Beauvais, as well as “Drag Race” star Trixie Mattel, singer Leona Lewis and actors Jesse Bradford and Andrea Watrouse. The cast from Vanderpump’s latest show, “Vanderpump Villa,” also joined for the celebration.

Recently, Horseshoe Black Hawk had the honor of presenting Camp Always Choose Adventures with a donation of $5,000 from the Caesars Foundation. Camp Always Choose Adventures focuses on bringing the outdoors to everyone concentrating on local schools, and those with physical and mental disabilities.

Team Members at Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Tunica took quick action to help the residents of Tunica, Mississippi who were affected by a catastrophic water line failure. They supplied water to those most affected to aid in Tunica County's relief efforts.

Our SVP of Racing Joe Morris was recognized as one of the United States Trotting Association’s 2024 President’s Award winners. Established in 2005, the President’s Award annually honors individuals who have shown outstanding leadership and given extraordinary service to the horse racing community. USTA President Russell Williams presented the award at a luncheon at the Association’s annual Board of Directors meetings on Saturday, March 9, in Columbus, Ohio.

A lifelong horseman, Morris began his career in his family’s legendary Standardbred breeding and racing organization, Norton Farm in Maine. From there, he worked in both harness and Thoroughbred racing, including as president of NTRA purchasing, publisher of the Thoroughbred Times, and president of the Thoroughbred Owners of California prior to joining Caesars Entertainment.
