#BREAKING: After months of stalled contract negations, The Culinary Workers Union 226 has announced a strike deadline of Friday, November 10th at 5am.

This means that if the union that represents Nevada’s hospitality workers can’t reach a new contract agreement with the state’s 3 top hotel chains, 35K casino hotel employees will walk off the job one week before Las Vegas hosts Formula 1 for the first time.

The 24/7 open-ended strike will impact 18 MGM, Ceasars and Wynn/Encore owned properties, except for the Cosmopolitan which was acquired this year.

Paul Anthony, a food server at the Bellagio for the past 25 years, explains why he and other union members are ready to take part in what could be the largest hospitality worker strike ever in the U.S.

Do you think casino CEOs will let that happen? Especially with Super Bowl 58 just 3 months away?? FOX5 Las Vegas

Fearless & favored 💘

After seeing me get so emotional about the massacre in Uvalde last week, a lot of people reached out asking how I’m able to do my job with so much bad happening in the world. For me, it’s knowing that not every day is filled with horrible news. Some days I have the opportunity to help someone who needs it and other days I get to share inspirational stories like Joe’s. He is not letting Down syndrome stop him from being a champion bodybuilder. His tenacity and dedication is the motivation we could all use to reach that goal that may seem impossible. Oh and please do me a big favor and tag @ronniecoleman8 🙏🏾 I would love for Joe to get the attention of his idol and hopefully one day meet him. 🤞🏾❤️🏋🏽‍♂️

Summertime fine 🍑

Sad that it took legislation for black women to wear our hair the way they want to but thanks to the #CROWNAct, race-based hair discrimination is now FINALLY illegal across the country 🙌🏾👸🏾 I’ve had so many black journalists tell me that their bosses have told them not to wear their natural hair or braids on TV. Thankfully Nkiruka Azuka and I work for a station that understands #RepresentationMatters and have never had that problem at FOX5 Las Vegas. That’s how it should be everywhere!
