"I participated in decorating for a Vacation Bible School at my church for a Sports Camp/Olympic theme this summer. I decided we needed an Olympic style torch to open each day for 6 days.

At first, I searched around for ideas or products to buy until I thought to just make it myself. I drew up the plans using Lightburn and started cutting. The kids absolutely loved it and felt a sense of pride in the events of the day while at VBS.

Being fully enclosed, it's safe, both from scattered laser light that can be blinding, as well as from the fumes of whatever you're lasering. So far I've used it for a lot of wood signs and also used it for laser cutting wood templates for hand routing. I routed the included 3" exhaust hose outside and never noticed smells indoors.
