Scholarship Announcement
Dear OTD Students, Alumni, and Fieldwork Educators, The Touro University Nevada School of Occupational Therapyโ€‹ (SOT) would like to announce an exciting scholarship opportunity to attend the 2023 AOTA Inspire conference. This conference will be offered onsite in Kansas City, Missouri, from April 20 to April 23, 2023. We will be selecting three scholarship winners to receive full registration to the world's largest gathering of OT practitioners. The scholarship committee will select one winner from each of the following categories: A current TUN SOT student An alumnus of the TUN SOT program A practitioner who has served as a fieldwork educator for TUN SOT students If you qualify for one or more of these categories and are interested in attending the AOTA Inspire conference, please click on the application link below and answer a few simple questions. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a current member of AOTA, willing to share your conference experience on the TUN SOT social media pages, provide your name, email address, and a brief response (maximum of 500 characters) regarding how this conference will "inspire" your OT practice and how you plan to disseminate the knowledge and skills gained from attending. Winners will receive a complimentary registration to the 2023 Inspire conference (worth $320 - $475). The survey will be available until February 6 at 11:59 pm. Today was our Assistive Technology Fair! Here is Kevin Hohn from the 2019 cohort explaining โ€œThatโ€™s Sic,โ€ an adaptive PlayStation controller he designed to help patients with low vision, cognitive deficits, or Autism.
