At Touro University Nevada's Occupational Therapy Doctoral program, it is our mission to educate caring and competent occupational therapists.

For those who experience adversity because of physical, mental, or developmental challenges, an occupational therapist (OT) teaches skills and ways to adapt for the successful accomplishment of daily tasks. Through Touro University Nevada's School of Occupational Therapy, it is our mission to educate occupational therapists who are adept at making a positive impact on a diverse array of patients.

We are celebrating with Class of 2022 Alumna Darkhishan Ali who had the results of her capstone project published in a peer-reviewed journal last month. She had the direct mentorship of Dr. Rider throughout the process.

Bravo to our very own Samantha Fenner, OTD, OTR/L and Johnny Rider, PhD, OTR/L, MSCS who were recently featured in Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for their article Mindfulness and Multiple Sclerosis: A Patient Guide.

The article offers practical patient-facing education about mindfulness for our patients living with multiple sclerosis.
