One of my friend's shared this article with me and I found it very helpful to understand how screens and sugar are affecting our kids. Sometimes just putting the screens away all together for a while or not having sweets in the house so the temptation is less can be helpful. Choosing designated times and spaces for screens and special moments for treats like Fun Friday instead of daily ice cream is another way to modify some problem behaviors.

'Anti-dopamine parenting' can curb a kid's craving for screens or sweets Dopamine is a part of our brain's survival mechanism. It is also part of why sugary foods and social media hook kids. The latest neuroscience can help parents help their kids manage behavior.
