Cookies For Troops
Since 2006, Chef Brenda Villatoro and her volunteers bake cookies for our troops overseas to thank them for their sacrifice.
Since 2006 volunteer chefs and bakers, under the leadership of Chef Brenda Villatoro, have come together every year during the holidays to bake and ship thousands of cookies overseas to our troops on the front line as a way to send thanks and remembrance during the Christmas season. These cookies are packaged and delivered to Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas and find their way all over the Gulf
The Fourth of July is not about barbecues, fireworks and trips, it is about celebrating the United States of America’s Independence - the only country that was founded for freedom. Yes it has faults but it works to correct them. Some of its passed actions needs to be put in perspective of the time and not compared to today. Yes, we are an imperfect union, but we strive to do better. No other country on this earth has the freedoms we have. If we loose it where would you go. How about spending the day actually reading the constitution.
If there is a lesson in our Constitution, is neither a self-actuating nor a self-correcting document. It requires the constant attention and devotion of all citizens. There is a story, often told, that upon exiting the Constitutional Convention Benjamin Franklin was approached by a group of citizens asking what sort of government the delegates had created. His answer was: "A Republic, if you can keep it." The brevity of that response should not cause us to under-value its essential meaning: Democratic Republics are not merely founded upon the consent of the people, they are also absolutely dependent upon the active and informed involvement of the people for their continued good health. Do your own research - do not rely on repeating “Parrots”, they only say what they want you to know. Look at all views points and form your opinion.
In a Republic we vote for are representatives - Congress men and women to pass laws for us, the people. If we do not like what they are doing we voted them out, hopefully for better people that preserve our rights - not making the government bigger and restricting our rights. In a Democracy - the people vote on every single law. We are a Republic not a Democracy.
The Federal Government has it limits, and the states have their rights. We are the United States of America, and should not be run by the Federal government or its unelected government agencies, who attempt to pass regulations that are not laws. Congress controls the purse (money) and the Senate should look after the the people of their state, not their party affiliation.
Let us not take the blessing of living in this great nation lightly and continue to make sacrifices so generations that follow us can live in the land of the free.
Happy Fourth of July
“I predict future happiness for Americans, if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.” ― Thomas Jefferson
“We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” ― Thomas Jefferson
You will never know how much it cost my generation to preserve your freedom, I hope you will make good use of it — John Adams.

Happy Fourth of July
The invasion of France by Allied Forces on June 6, 1944, is forever known as D-Day. American troops, in conjunction with Allied forces from Canada and England, stormed the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago. Five landing beaches were selected for the assault: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword beaches. As dawn broke, the largest armada ever assembled began its assault on the beaches of Normandy. By the end of the day, the Atlantic Wall, (which took the Germans years to build), had fallen and the invasion was a success. More than 4,000 allied troops were killed or wounded. We should never forgot what they did. We should always be grateful and remember the men and women of the Greatest Generation for their courageous service and sacrifice. They helped defeat tyranny and dictatorship in the European and Pacific Theaters to protect liberty and freedom. How quick we forget and how sad we do not teach history
Today we remember those who died on December 7, 1941, one of the worst days in our nation's history. May those who died rest in peace. Always remember and study history.
Saturday November 11th is Veterans Day - We would like to thank all the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much to keep our country safe and strong. Freedom is not free, It comes at a very high price, do not take it for granted or it will be easily taken away, take a moment this day to thank those who have served and sacrificed for our country. On this Veterans Day we salute the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much to keep our country safe and strong. It takes a special person to answer our nation's call to duty. We hope that today and every day, our nation's veterans feel our appreciation and know that we do not take their sacrifices for granted. Please take the time to reach out to the veteran in your life and thank them for their service. They are an example to us all.
We must never forget the sites, the sounds, the people. Out of the chaos of September 11, 2001 - there are heroes and people to be remembered and never forgotten. We need to remember that this Terror Attack united ALL the people in the USA and of other countries. Lets us never forget how we felt that day. We do not need another Terrorist attack to stand together - we are all Americans currently living in the best place on earth, the United States of America, the last place for freedom.
Biden wants to send National Guard Reservists to Ukraine. Haven't we sent them enough money and military equipment? It is the Oligarchs that are profiting, and the local Ukrainians pay the price. It is time to remember our history. Isn't that how the Vietnam war started and grew???? How many of our young men & women served, paid the ultimate price, or are still suffering today. Forgotten by the U.S. government who sent them to war.

Proud to be an American!
Thank you to our Fallen Heroes
God Bless America in this time of crisis
Memorial Day in America is the day when we need to honor and remember all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Among the fallen, most were laid to rest in the land they loved, others lie beneath white crosses in military cemeteries around the world, and others their final resting place is known only to God. To all of them and their families, we owe a debt of gratitude we can never repay,
For all they have done, our fallen and their families deserve the tributes that should be recited on this day of days, but on this Memorial Day, perhaps we feel loyalty to their memory and gratitude for their service just a little more deeply, for it comes at a momentous time in the life of our nation, when all of us need to be reminded just how precious our freedom truly is. Now more than ever, we should remember and honor all the men and women throughout the generations who defended our freedom at the cost of their lives. We will also should remember the families of the fallen for whom every day is Memorial Day and assure them that our nation will never forget or fail to honor their loved ones. If you know any Gold Star families, take some time this weekend to reach out to them. Listen to their stories and thank them for their sacrifice.
Wishing everone the best New Year ever, good health, happiness, Good friends and family. Thank you for your support
Merry Christmas to our Service men and women, our veterans and their families. We thank you for your service and wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.
Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate this Holy Time
Today we commemorate the 81th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and recognise a tragic day in our history. In that attack there were:
2,403 U.S. personnel, and 68 civilians killed.
1,178 service men wounded.
167 aircraft destroyed and 159 damaged
Destroyed or damaged 19 U.S. Navy ships
On this day we should honor and remember the Greatest Generation - those who perished in the attack, those who survived and those who went on to defend our nation.
On this anniversary take the time to reread the history of this event. Time may pass but our memory of this day should never be forgotten.
Let us never forgot our past or have it rewritten.
Happy Thanksgiving - We are thankful for all our service men women and their familites
