Today, at 11 AM, we concluded the operations of The Mirage Hotel & Casino. As we close our doors, we reflect with deep gratitude upon our guests and visitors who graced The Mirage, experiencing the pioneering spirit of the Las Vegas Strip's inaugural mega-resort.

For 34 years, the dedicated team at The Mirage delivered exceptional service, shaping the very essence of our property. To them, we extend our heartfelt thanks for their unparalleled commitment and the enduring memories they have helped create for all.

Thank you to everyone who visited the property over this last week for our $1.6 Million Progressive Finale Cash Giveaway. The response was unprecedented, and we thank everyone for their patience as we worked to manage the high volumes.

Our final progressive giveaway of the remaining $100,000 will occur on Tuesday with $12,000 given away over nine drawings, every 30 minutes from 3PM to 7PM.

April 14, 1998

Illusionists Siegfried and Roy are joined at a Mirage news conference by then Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman where they announced a contract extension at the property through December 2004.

February 26, 2001

Siegfried & Roy with their new baby tiger cubs in 2003. Their magical bond with majestic white tigers captivated hearts worldwide for decades.

January 31, 2003

At the opening day of Terminal 3, former Mirage headliner, Terry Fator, welcomed travelers from a Virgin Atlantic flight to Harry Reid Airport in 2012.

After 34 amazing years, The Mirage Hotel & Casino will be ceasing operations on July 17, 2024. Over the next two months we will bid farewell to this iconic and historic property and then we will commence an incredible transformation. We look forward to the beginning of an exciting journey into a new era as Hard Rock Las Vegas will ignite the Strip with entertainment, innovation, and world-class hospitality.

Hard Rock will pay approximately $80 million in severance packages for eligible union and non-union employees remaining with the property through cessation of operations.
