I haven’t posted in a while, so I figured I’d better keep up with the social media. I love days when I’m reminded of “the why” I do my “job”. Ending a 12+ hour day with such gratitude and joy, sure I’m tired but that's not even close to how thankful I am to share my gift with others. Every month, since I opened my business, I offer a complimentary service to a woman in need; Need of self-care, extra love, peace, release, or joy. This week I did multiple complimentary services, and let me tell you the feeling is better than anything. I love what I do, I love what I do, I love what I do. 📸:

I feel Grateful and blessed after this training. I love bringing new content into my treatment room. This training has been on my radar for year's . Life, finances, time off, and working with everyone's schedules around mine, it just never seemed to pan out. Life is hectic right now and my anxiety was getting the best of me, I almost canceled this training. After my last training, I got sick and beat myself regularly for not bringing connective tissue training into my treatment room as I want to. But the training this weekend was a refresher for me and that makes me so happy! All of my pieces of training over the years have been tied into this training! When I started on my own, I wasn't going after the fact of becoming a holistic esthetician but leaned towards a holistic approach in my touch and how I looked at the skin. Funny how life turns out that you start doing something not realizing that it's called something lol. Well, I think I’m on that path. I’m so excited. When you do these types of training you are given the tools you need and then you create what works for you. My ideas are rolling through my head but this will take time, hopefully not long! I know all of you won’t be mad during a facial if I’m like let me try this! So all of you will be modeling as a guinea pig in some way!

During my morning meditation, an overwhelming sense of gratitude came over me. It has been a year, this week, since my body decided to shut down. I'm beyond grateful for my clients, and even potential client's on the waitlist. You have seen me at my worst. The patience I have received during this year doesn't go unnoticed. Even though I'm currently in aflare, I'm learning to heal, and I hope I never go back to where I was in this healing journey. This new way has been a learning experience for me, mentally, emotionally, and physically. You have been so understanding through it all. I appreciate it so much. Thank you!

A few of you have brought it to my attention; some influencers or people on Instagram are stating they no longer wear sunscreen for the benefits of the sun. In my opinion, this is a scary statement to be posting on the social media platforms.
Let me try to explain to you what my family does for sunscreen and the sun.
There are many benefits to the sun, but too much of a good thing is never great.
Some the benefits of the sun are vitamin D, healthy bones, help with sleep, it boosts our immune system and mental health. Applying sunscreen before entering the sun will diminish these benefits.
My children are a three on the Fitzpatrick scale.
I allow their bodies to reap the benefits of the sun for about ten minutes before applying sunscreen. I also consider time of day, is the sun at its strongest? I will not allow their skin to be exposed as long. The sun has its benefits but can be very damaging to the skin, causing cancer, pre-mature aging, and pigmentation. I also apply sunscreen throughout the day religiously because I know the sun's harm to the skin. As for me, my face is an investment. I never leave the house without sunscreen on my face and or a hat. While out, I allow my body to reap the benefits of the sun, but because I'm lower on the Fitzpatrick scale, not as long as my children. I hope this explains a little bit better.

Five years ago, I had just had my third baby, and my middle was being tested for everything under the sun ( cystic fibrosis, cancer, the heavy stuff, don't worry, she is in excellent health); we also were flipping a house on borrowed money that had to be returned in 90 days. So stress shows ups very much on the face. I’m still under stress, not that heavy, but it comes in waves and seasons for everyone. So I can’t give credit for relieving stress.
I was getting Botox regularly for seven years, and I stopped utterly almost three years ago. I’m not against Botox or fillers, but I was not happy with my face changing; I started to look scary and unnatural. I'm also not against getting botox if I need it later
I 100% gained weight. Welcome to your 30’s where your metabolism and collagen leave your ass, but I'm healthier now than was in the first photo. As for cleaning eating, I've always been aware what I put in my body shows on my face, but I have to live too.
There was a pivotal turn in my practice in skincare, where I started to massage my face more regularly. We massage our bodies and exercise our muscles but tend to neglect our facial muscles. There are 42 muscles in our face!

Last night she told me her eyelashes get caught on her glasses so she trims them. I swear to you even typing this makes me want to vomit. I gagged when she told me and cried myself to sleep. We lifted those lashes High for her first ever lash lift and if they are still hitting I’ll go in for more of a curl next time.

I’m so excited and nervous to tell you all, I have my very own place! I picked up the keys today. I’m not sure how many times I burst into happy, scared, excited, I’m not sure why I am crying tears. You all know my story, and if you don’t here is a quick rundown. I've been an esthetician since 2007, I’ve done a little spa, a big spa, medical, I even taught. I went out on my own and started my own business not planned, not prepared. The universe had a plan because I was so unprepared to start a business I couldn’t even get a credit card ( because I didn’t have credit) I didn’t even tell my husband I had quit and this was my big idea! ( that because he was training and I wasn’t able to speak to him)
I started my business in 2017 by transforming my son's nursery into my “spa”
My husband came home and I quickly realized I have outgrown that space and needed another space.
I've had two locations since then which I know some of you are/ will be annoyed that I’m moving again, but this is a good move and stable move I promise.
Because of my very loyal clients, I’m here I’m able to do this and you deserve a beautiful, serene location.
Starting a business was never on my radar! Like ever, but once I enjoyed so much running a business, I started planning for the future. Searching and figuring out how I could grow but maintain my happiness. Then Covid hit and I didn’t even know if I would make it out the other side. I've been talking myself into making a move like this for over 9 months, I blamed a lot of the uncertainties on Covid. The universe worked in many ways and signs and for those who were along for the journey thank you.
My biggest regret is not taking a business course, I only did one semester in college and I learned how to party harder than in high school so I’m extremely nervous. I keep reminding myself my biggest strength is work ethic, I won't let this fail. I want to thank all of you, because of you, I can do this! I’m beyond grateful! I appreciate you all very much.
