Location: District Surgery Center Center in Bethesda, MD
Project Size: 8,250 SF

Description: Silva provided comprehensive pre-construction and construction services for this design-build project. The team issued formal invitations to bid to pre-qualified design and engineering firms and contracted directly with the architect/engineer. Silva worked closely with the owner throughout the design development of the new Ambulatory Surgery Center, offering detailed budget estimates at each project phase, including schematic design, design development, and final construction documents, all under a cost-plus agreement. The construction of the new center included two operating rooms, one procedure room, pre-op/PACU, sterile/decontamination processing, and all necessary support areas.

With a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and a plethora of certifications including OSHA and PMP, Rohullah ensures quality and safety are ingrained in everything we do. His expertise, honed through years with NAVFAC and USACE, is the cornerstone of our commitment to excellence.

Beyond the construction site, Rohullah is an avid reader, enjoys family picnics, has a love for biking and hunting, and treasures traveling during his vacations.

"The skills needed in the construction industry are gender non-specific. The basic skills that you need are in everybody. The industry is set for both genders because all workers are focused on a common goal that they work towards as a team, bringing everyone closer together.

Bringing women into the workforce and diversifying a team was the most important aspect to both construction executives to strengthen their teams.
