Caring Connection - Mississippi

Hey y’all Alzheimer’s Association has been a blessing to our Laurel-Jones County community. We now have an annual Walk for Alzheimer’s, a support group that meets monthly, Alzheimer’s education and 2 groundbreaking drugs that have been FDA approved!!!!

Please help my team reach its goal before the end of the year. We are less than $1500 short of improving the quality of life for families and sufferers of this horrific disease

How was my day, you ask?
Worked 7a-3:30p, went grocery shopping at Kroger. Got home at 5 and put away groceries. 1:15 mins later, dinner was served. Hamburger steak, rice, gravy, cabbage, corn, carrots, and cornbread.
He’s worth it…. .

Let me get you all updated on what’s been going on at Caring Connection.

1. Still hosting monthly free General Store/Food pantry shopping days.

2. Took a day trip to visit Meridian’s $50 million Mississippi Art and Entertainment Experience, took a guided historical tour of Meridian and ate at Red Lobster.

3. Hosted a mobile African-American Museum exhibit where the curator narrated the ladies on a tour from Egypt to enslavement through Jim Crow, up to the Civil Rights movement, Obama’s presidency and Kamala’s vice presidency. Local legends were also featured.

Took the seniors on a trip to the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience in Meridian. We had a great time. Making their “Golden Years” golden.
