I enjoy a good traditional hymn/contemporary christian mixology. This is one I really like to “rock out” to in my car when I’m having a bad day. My favorite line, of the contemporary part, “I come empty to be filled.” What is your favorite part???

Some days the world seems so big & some it seems so small. As we think of how we are personally affected by Coronavirus remember it is a global pandemic. Our bothers & sisters in Christ in Daet, Philippines are also dealing with this virus. They have been live streaming services, unable to gather publicly just like us. They have been utilizing their quarantine time to develop a campsite & to feed the children of the community💜. As we pray each day for our families’ health & wellness know that our church family is a global family💜💜. We are praying for them & they are praying for us. Peace & wellness to us all!

WLX and WDXE are working to tackle hunger in our listening area this week. The COVID-19 pandemic has left many without steady employment and access to basic food necessities. Our stations have partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to provide 1,000 food boxes to be distributed on a first come first serve basis this Friday at the radio station on North Locust Avenue. We will start handing out food at 2PM in a drive thru on our parking lot. No vehicles will be allowed in the station lot before 2PM. Local law enforcement will be present to assist in traffic control. If you need food, we’ll see you this Friday. If you wish to donate food goods or make monetary gifts, come by the station now through Thursday between 8A and 4P. Place food in the box truck in the parking lot. Together we will tackle hunger and COVID-19.
