Our program believes that people are created physically and spiritually by God. Therefore, treatment needs a holistic approach to address each aspect. All the 8Oaks guys got to come together today and have a swim party and some good grilled food! What a great bunch of guys we have!!
There are many people and organizations dedicated to restoring those gripped by addiction to drugs and alcohol in Lawrence County. Trea Dunnavant, part of the Lawrence County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition, is one of those who is making a significant difference. These guys gave their lives to Christ and have made a public confession of their faith. Since then they have finished their first thirty days and are ready for the next phase of the program. God is good!!! This is why we do what we do!
Looks like the car wash is going to have to be postponed again. We are going to wait a few weeks in hopes to get some better weather.

Due to the upcoming bad weather for Saturday 8Oaks will have to move the car wash to 6-1-2024.

I am so proud of Chris Alexander. He is celebrating 1 year of sobriety today. When Chris came to us a year ago he was broken and discouraged. I see him now as a mighty man of God who has become a leader of men. He is currently one of our house managers and in a few weeks will be the head house manager over the new guys coming in to the program. I’ve seen him laugh, cry, and pray with others. He is truly a remarkable man who works everyday to save as many as he can from the grips of addiction. Thank you Chris for your service to the Kingdom of God.
