Closure scheduled for Alton Station Road/KY 512 in Anderson County
Cross drain replacement operations
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 12, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled closure for Alton Station Road/KY 512. The temporary closure is necessary for cross drain replacement operations.

Monday, July 15 – 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Alton Station Road/KY 512

a portion of the route will be closed at milepoint 3.5 (the entire eight (8) mile roadway will not be closed)
persons who live along the road will be able to access their homes
motorists can turn around (if necessary) at Birdie Road/KY 395 (west) and Alton Road/KY 151 (east)
barricades will be placed at Hammonds Creek Road and Benson Creek Road
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.

KHC's Tenant Assistance Programs (TAP) department will open applications for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV, also known as Section 8 ) Waiting List from 9 a.m. ET Monday, July 22, 2024, to 5 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024.

The Section 8 online application will be available ONLY through KHC's website. Applicants will also be able to call into KHC's Customer Service to complete the application by phone or request one via email.

There have been several Section 8 scams going around on social media recently. Please know that applicants can get information and apply ONLY through KHC's website at https://ow.ly/J8bW50SyWst.
