Very excited that the first phase of the Cedar Brook Rails to Trails is so, so very close. Just a little signage and some clean up to get the gates opened. Tourism has worked for many years with the to get this baby from idea to reality. Thanks to the multiple sponsors who helped get the match together to make it real and to for the beautiful entrance. Be on the lookout in the next couple of weeks for the ribbon cutting announcement. These kinds of projects are what make our community more fun, more active and a destination.

New pillow covers arrived today but after we left early this morning. Looking forward to updating them!! The geese came up to visit us today. We took some time and watched them for awhile. Nice to slow down to enjoy nature.

Did you know Kentucky is home to the only 3 span Warren deck truss S-bridge in the U.S. The Jo Blackburn Bridge, which carries U.S. 62 across the Kentucky River between Anderson and Woodford counties.
The 1,256-foot-long bridge was commissioned by the State Highway Commission of Kentucky and built in 1932 by the Virginia Bridge Co.
Running parallel to the Blackburn bridge is Young’s High Bridge, a railroad cantilever bridge built in 1889, one of the oldest and tallest still standing today. Both bridges are next to Wild Turkey Distillery.
