A Kennel Tech is responsible for the day-to-day care of patients and boarders. This includes feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, bathing, and monitoring the well-being of dogs, cats, and occasionally, other companion animals. Kennel Techs must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects, the dexterity and confidence to administer medications, and the ability to monitor pets for signs of distress or disease. It is essential that they have the ability and willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets. Weekend work is required. This is a split shift job. Mornings start at 6AM and evenings start back at 3PM. Averaging 4 hours each shift. Wednesday-Sunday

Duties and Responsibilities
• Walking dogs
• Cleaning animal waste, spilled food, hair, and other debris from the kennels
• Providing animals with water and food according to feeding schedule
• Laundry and dishes
• Sweeping and moping
• Playing with and comforting dogs and cats while they are in our care
• Reading and learning dog behavior and language
• Scoop litter boxes
• Bathing cats and dogs

Skills and Qualifications
• Punctual and reliable
• Passion for animals
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Able to handle large dogs
• Strong attention to detail and positive attitude
• Reliable transportation
• Available to work weekdays, weekends, and Holidays

The whole month of April we offer a discounted price on the Rabies Vaccination. No need to make an appointment. Our hours are 8AM-5PM during the week and 8AM-12PM on Saturdays . We close for lunch from 12:30PM-1:30PM during the week.
