Tang
Lexington KY
Meet TANG! This super snuggly runt of the litter is looking for his forever home!
Tang is 8 weeks old, the petite pup of a litter of 6 being fostered in Lexington, KY. Tang is often seen just observing the shenanigans of his littermates and wondering why they act all a fool. While he loves to play and explore he is much more thoughtful and isn’t interested in serious rough play. He loves to snuggle up with humans and is constantly seeking time with his human foster mom.
Tang’s mom- a VERY petite cattle dog- was dumped in rural KY, very skinny but very sweet and pregnant…she popped with 6 babies the day after we got her! Dad is unknown. He was born white like cattle dogs are and has developed Some tiny adorable red speckles and that cute red floppy ears!
While he has not been around children his foster feels he will do well! He will do great in a home with another dog or alone! Tang will need proper potty and crate training with a consistent schedule as he is only 8 weeks old. He is UTD on all age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. He will be adopted with a neuter contact.
If you have questions about Tang please email [email protected]

As with many rescues, a lot of their funding comes out of their own pocket- your support would make such a huge difference for them!

This group is primarily the efforts of one woman….she works tirelessly to help dogs stay out of their already overcrowded, underfunded local shelter.
$5 Friday to support HAPI…..another wonderful group to check out! They support so many animals in their community. It’s incredible what $5 can do when enough people participate. If you can’t donate, follow and share!

Happy Friday! More specifically, Happy $5 Friday!
Its been a while since any of our team could appreciate fully when new babies come in. While we are not an open intake shelter, because we help the municipal shelter so much - we are constantly overwhelmed this time of year with so many to take care of, to spay and neuter, and find homes or rescues for them so they aren’t euthanized for space or shelter related illness.
So today, we are taking a moment amongst the chaos to appreciate the little ones who give this organization a mission and purpose to continue despite how tired or compassionate fatigued we are.
Today, we want to ask you to donate just $5 and help us continue to have the means to provide for these babies and all of them who come our way.
(As a reminder, we are closed for intake to the public. We also are working to establish new veterinary relationships to offer spay neuter clinics to our community again, as it’s been a rough 6 weeks for us without hosting a clinic for the public.)

Hank’s mom posted this in honor of National Rescue Dog Day…..and I just had to share!
Hank is the epitome of how rescue can make the difference in the life of a dog. He had so many special people help him along the way that Camp Jean is forever grateful to!
Please feel free to post your rescue babies in the comments- we’d love to see them!
Beth would literally sit by your side all day as long as you’re touching her. Hands down one of the sweetest dogs we’ve had here at Camp Jean.
Beth is 8-10 years old and around 70 pounds. Great with people of all ages. She is crate trained, and likely house trained as she keeps her kennel dry and clean. She’s a pretty good leash walker and rides well in the car. I’d rate her energy level as low to medium.
She is probably best suited as an only pet. She’s not dog aggressive- but is at the age she only wants a playmate if she is initiating play. An older, low key male might be a possibility, but ideally we would love to see her go to an only pet home. She’s a bit too interested in cats to be a fit for them either.
Beth has been here for two years in July….someone is missing out on this precious girl. If you think it might be you, please message the page and let’s talk!
