This is just out of tempering. Next is hand sanding and sharpening.

Camp knife in 8670. Micarta handle scales with Micarta pins and lanyard tube. Sharp as the devil himself.

Bowie in 8670 sanded to 400,then 3 layers of hot vinegar etching. I'm going to stonewash it next!

Trying something new. Using the angle grinder to shape the initial bevels. 3/16" thick camp knife in 8670.

Straightback edc knife 1/8" thick 8670 high carbon steel, 9.5"OAL, 5" blade, 1"height, distal taper, and tapered tang. Micarta scales with copper and Micarta pins.

First time trying hot vinegar etching. I like it so far.

Annealed in the new forge, then designed and clamped to the biggest piece of steel I had,so that it would work like a heat sink. Between the steel and spraying it with water every few cuts, it stayed relatively soft and easy to work with.

New batch. 8670 hardened to 62 hrc, 4" blades,4.5" micarta handles copper and orange g10 pins, aluminum tubes. Polished to 400 grit tonight, next is 600, then emery compound and the buffing wheel, then finishing Rouge on the other buffing wheel.
Then sheaths, and they're up for grabs! PM me for prices and accessories.
