Let me introduce you to Bugs! As most of you know that have visited the farm, we have a bunny coop this year. We have Holland Lops in our cage. Well Bugs is a random brown bunny that showed up a month or so ago and loves to hang around our bunny cage! Heās become quite tame and will allow us to feed him by hand and pet him.
We have a lot of people who come to us concerned one of our bunnies is loose and we appreciate them letting us know.
We do ask that children not chase Bugs all over the farm. He just lives a chill, happy go lucky life!
We will be closed Friday, June 14th due to over picking. We will update Friday afternoon about weekend hours.
Freezing blueberries. The question of the day!! š«
Our berries are 100% organic. You can eat them straight from the bush and ground. Hereās our suggestion for freezing.
After picking and once home lay a towel out on your kitchen counter or table. This allows them to dry out from natural moisture. After about 30 minutes to an hour place directly into a freezer bag. No need to wash.
If you wash them prior to freezing it strips off the natural wax coating on the berries and their skin gets tough and they will clump together in a freezer bag.
We will be open Thursday, June 13th from 8 to 11 AM and 5 to 8 PM
Please note that we accept cash and check only at our farm. Just so you can plan ahead when coming. I appreciate everyoneās understanding.
Iām going to extend my evening hours to 5-8 tonight, June 12th. We have a lot of berries.
We will be open tomorrow, June 12th from 8 AM to 11 AM and will also be open that evening from 5 PM to 7 PM
One of our most popular variety of berry on the farm is our Titan blueberry. These berries get huge! I picked these two just now. They are the size of a quarter!! š¤Ŗ
Donāt be fooled though. Sometimes our smallest ones are our sweetest. So give them all a shot.
Hope to see yāall soon!
We will be open tonight June 11th from 5-7 PM.
