Communication and Journalism majors stop by the 2nd floor of Fine Arts for some holiday fun and say hi to your faculty.

Freshmen - come see Dr. Sheena Howard at Ridge House on Tuesday, October 16, do her presentation - "Behind the Scenes: Creating a Comic Book".
Dr. Howard is a Comic Book Author as well as a prolific scholar. Don't miss this!

Hello incoming freshman. Congrats on finishing high school! That is a great accomplishment and you should be proud. As orientations start, make sure you take advantage of the resources at Rider. If you have any questions DO NOT BE SHY!

Enjoy your summer! Remember to leave September 8th open for dinner at my house with my family and the faculty. Last year the President of the University joined us as well as the Dean! A great opportunity to meet the big-wigs, but more importantly, to meet the members of your department.

Dear class of 2022 - there are still a few rooms left in the living learning community but they are going quickly. If you are interested please contact Residence Life at (609) 896-5057. Tell them you are a Com/Journalism Major and want to live in Ridge House.
If you already have a roommate who isn't our major, contact Res Life and ask them to put you on the wait list.

No need to wait at Rider University. Not only are you allowed, you are encouraged to work with these as soon as you arrive!

The Dept. of Communication and Journalism will be taking applications for our Living Learning Community this fall. You MUST be a major in our department to qualify - that means you major in Communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, Filmmaking TV and Radio, Graphic Design our Sports Media.
One of the most exciting aspects of the LLC is housing in the newly renovated Ridge House. It will include newly renovated bathrooms and lobbies. Each room will have its own heating and air-conditioning unit.
We will host multiple events at Ridge House that will blend social activities and academics. You will get to meet all of our student leaders in the various award-winning organizations such as The Rider News, The Rider University Network, The Public Relations Student Society of America and WRRC 107.7 the Bronc!
When you apply for housing make sure you select the Com/Journalism Living Learning Community at Rider House.

Hi everyone! I'm Dr. Shawn Kildea, the Chairman of the Dept. of Communication and Journalism at Rider University. I have been at Rider for 20 years. I have 4 teenagers and an 11 year old. My wife, Luann, and I live right next to Rider. My oldest child is your age and will be starting college in the fall so I am feeling your parents' angst! I coach youth football and I'm a big Frank Sinatra fan - you're old enough to start listening to Frankie!
