Motorcycle repair and improvement

Water and gas do not play well together. This R1 showed up with some carb issues, but we fixed that! Customer came to pickup today and said “it’s never run this good”. We over promise, over deliver, and we are still more affordable than the other guys. Must be the maths🤷‍♂️

Sometimes the oil filter gets away from us🤷‍♂️. Oiled shop floors never rust though.

Sending off the old RM250 cylinder today. Sorry for not posting last week. We were BUSY!!! With the weather our free time was dedicated to drinking water, and then drinking more water. Sweatshop conditions... management is going to hear about it!

Just out here trying to get employee of the month🔥. It’s been a hot summer and there’s been plenty of sweat spilled on your bikes, on occasion some blood or knuckle skin too. When your BFF need another bike fixed though... you gotta go all out and leave the leg meats on the old Kawasaki .

Cool story alert: a few years ago I moved back to Oklahoma and Justin asked me if I thought I’d be able to reassemble a bike...? I was in sales, miserable, had all but stopped being a “mechanic” at that point, and had no free time. Sure, why not! At that point I had given up on my idea of having my own shop. Building a bike sounded fun though. This particular CBR1000 he had showed up in boxes, cases split, crank rolling around, wiring harness trashed, missing pieces, mixed up pieces, and easily the most complicated project I’d ever attempted at that point. (Long story short, it went back together, and is still sleeping in my garage ready to upset the neighborhood. After that I was on a path, I knew I’d have my own shop, I knew I definitely didn’t have the cash, and I started making a plan. That plan of mine fell apart about ten different times in dramatic fashion, evolved and died again over the next two or so years... thankfully the universe had its own plans. This past March I found myself either going into debt employed, or being suddenly unemployed with debt. My options were lay down and die, go find another job, or to start this shop during an international pandemic with negative funds available for the adventure... One piece of paperwork later and I was a free 💨. I sure had my doubts that this would work, just like I had doubts about that bike in a box. Truth be told putting that bike back together ruined my resume. I was better than I thought, still had “it”, and I started believing again that no matter what everything is “fixable”. Now here my little shop is almost 6 months later, doing better every single day, and putting a smile on my face...and quite a few others. Moral of this story? Take a risk, get a good look at failure, eat s**t, and keep smiling. If this isn’t success then I don’t want it✌️ thanks for the challenge

That’s not supposed to look like that. Guess we better go find the missing bits and get this glued back together...

Monday’s coffee kicked in and we got back to work. RM250 seems to be lacking a little compression, but this is not problem.

Have any cool old rusty metal stuff you want to look new again? We can help!

Our 73 RD350 had a few extra pieces. We’re fixing that...

Quite a few people have asked where I am located, or if I had a phone number. Probably would have helped if I had it listed on my page... Luckily I have some great friends to help me out, point out the obvious, and assist me on this adventure with short notice.

One of those people is my long time friend Jake Baima. We’ve known eachother for years and spent time together donating our time to save sea turtles, picking up litter in the community, and other assorted activities. We absolutely never did any hooligan things on motorcycles, ever.

Turns out Jake had an auto body shop Alpha Automotive LLC with some spare room, and needed some good help. If I’m not working on a bike chances are I’m sanding, sanding, sanding, or taping. He’s probably still looking for help, but having some shop space sure helps! If you need any paint or bodywork, engine repair, tire mount/balance, or service done give us a call.

Now we need a cam chain. That means we’ve got free time! Bring us your broke stuff.

This CRF250 showed up with a problem. The valve decided to hit the piston... full on disaster mode. The piston became a multi piece, the rod bent, and the poor cylinder broke in half. This was a nice picture of the progress. We’re going to make it like it never happened, and maybe even a little better.

Happy Fourth of freaking July 🇺🇸!!!!! Spending ours putting in a little sweat. We had a customer come in with a disconnected PC3, speedohealer, frame sliders, spools, bar ends, some frame sliders... Easy enough. We got started and found some shameful wiring, but we got time for that! We wouldn’t want our personal bike done this way, and we sure won’t find it acceptable on yours👍. Top pic is the finished result. Bike runs great, has an accurate speedometer, a wire harness that will outlast Alf, and hopefully we have no reports back on how well the other new pieces work✌️

Project of the day is a 2012 CRF 250R. The piston met the valve, and things went downhill from there. We fix broke things👍. Seriously though, all sorts of broken things... don’t be scared to ask

Doing our best to find a little balance in life on this fine Monday✌️
We balance carbs too...

It looks like I finally started my very own motorcycle shop! With the international pandemic and a sudden change of plans this past March, I found myself with an opportunity to do something I was hoping to do in a few years... Surprise! I also had a little help, motivation, and guilt from my friends to "make the page". (It looks like I procrastinated pretty efficiently) Feel free to message me about any bike, or small engine repairs you need. I can take care of almost any maintenance or tire change, and I am adding to my list of tricks every day! Spend less, get more, all while supporting the local wildlife...
