This turbo (from a Fusion ecoboost) is proof that no, that oil change can’t wait. Compressor wheel is destroyed and the shaft snapped in half. Expensive repair all from a lack of maintenance. Parts for this start at around $200, couple in the time it would take me to clean all that out to rebuild it and a $50 oil change sounds like a great plan!

We are happy to haul vehicles that aren’t running at no cost in the local area. If you are outside of the local area (more than 30 miles one way) we will work with you on towing.

We will call and get your authorization before any changes are made to your invoice, and we are happy to show you any issues and explain them to you.

Motor swaps starting at $850 for direct swaps if you provide the motor. If we have to source the motor, you pay for the motor (at cost, unless we have to pull it ourselves and if it’s outside of the local area - all costs provided up front! Full transparency.) we’ll handle transportation.

If you provide the motor, and it is not a direct swap (I.e. it’s the same size but one is from a mini van and yours is in a sedan) you will be informed of what needs to be changed for fitment and cost associated.

We warranty our labor for 30 days. All labor costs for major engine work will require half up front. Used motors carry no guarantees. If we source the motor for you, we will do our best to choose a solid running motor in the best condition we can find.

In the event a motor the customer has purchased on their own has mechanical problems that were unknown prior to the swapped vehicles first start, we will diagnose and give a repair estimate for it. The customer assumes all liability of their used motor if repairs aren’t completed.

Powder coating, if it can take heat, you can coat it.

These are some examples of transparent candy coated powder coating. It’s recommended to do transparent colors over chrome- the slime green one is not a transparent for reference on his opaque or transparent it can bs.

Chameleon ( aka color shift) paint also available. See last photo for my cars blue, purple, green shifting paint. That’s a single coat over gloss black. Single coat was Nason clear cost mixed with the color shift powder. It works on anything!

Need something rebuilt? We’re all about it. Carbs, engines, turbos, whatever, a lot of the time it’s more cost efficient to rebuild than it is to replace.
Turbo pictured is from a 5.9L Cummins, we also powder coated it, which came out really nice.
Why the rebuild? The truck has some power loss and upon inspection there was excessive shaft play. The good and bad is there was a bearing failure on the turbo (where the shaft is black) the good is it’s not anodized.
We suspect an injector is the cause of power loss and that’s next to check, but the turbo rebuild is necessary regardless.

This is why you drain your gas tank for storage. This car sat for several years, it ran after the fuel pump was replaced but it kept clogging fuel filters. (This is my personal vehicle I purchased in this condition).

If you plan on storing any kind of gas equipment, draining the gas is important and will save you costly repairs later on. This car as an example, the fuel pump is well over $100, and it was over 4 hours of labor to drop the tank and replace - $500 minimum at a shop if you’re lucky. In this case, we replaced the entire tank, sending unit, and pump.

Drain fuel when the motor is not going to be used.
If it’s been stored with fuel in it, drain before starting or attempting to start.

Change fuel filters as recommended by manufacturer.

We offer 30 days warranty on labor and 30 days on parts or as manufacturer provides, whichever is longer. We know parts can fail and we are willing to work with you if that happens outside of the parts warranty.

Warranty on labor: This means if a part fails, we replace it at no cost to you, this also covers in the rare event something isn’t correct on installation or if we miss something. Things happen

This does not cover customer abuse or neglect. Carburetor cleaning and other system flushes are a good example. If we clean your carburetor and you take it home, run 2 tanks of fuel through it, and it clogs back up due to dirty fuel, poor air filtration, or other neglect, it isn’t covered. We will be happy to look at it, but additional labor charges will apply if we repair it again and it isn’t due to part failure - example float or needle sticking. We test your equipment before we send it home, but things happen. Ever had your car make a sound, take it to the mechanic and now it won’t do it? That happens to us too!

If a rebuild is suggested for a carburetor and the customer declines and wants it cleaned, we are not liable if it malfunctions afterward. We are not going to suggest a rebuild or part replacement unless it’s needed! We do NOT up-charge on parts, they are at our cost.

Feel free to ask about labor warranties and suggested maintenance. We want your equipment to run well for you and are happy to help you maintain it at home to avoid additional repairs.
