I got a chance to work with this beautiful model! After a holistic consultation, we decided that definition was the goal! And definition we definitely did!

The Curl Haus Transformation is all about giving you all the education and tools to be able to wash and style your own hair! Success in curly styling begins at the shampoo bowl and ends with proper styling technique!

One thing that is so so important to me as I continue along my own journey is working with all textures of hair! I stand firm in my belief that you cannot call yourself a curl specialist if you are not equipped to work with ALL curls (from wave to curl to coil)!

Somewhere along the way, New Years became one of my favorite holidays. Just like a glass of water, the start of the new year is so refreshing. It feels like a blank canvas, and boy am I ready to paint this year!

2023 brought me so many amazing things. It brought me multiple new friendships. It brought me closer to my family. It brought me a diploma from cosmetology school It brought me a path in my career. It brought me to the Curl Haus. It brought me to new coworkers who have become some of my closest friends. But more than anything, it brought me gratitude, lots of reflection, and a new lease on life. And no matter the good or bad, it brought me to exactly where I was meant to be.

2024 is the year I finally get successful at my career. It’s the year that I’m going to live as my most authentic and happy self. It’s the year that I am going to stop and enjoy the little things, life is not a race, I’m here to experience every moment.

I feel so grateful and passionate that I get the chance to work with curly hair EVERY day. That I get to help make people feel their most beautiful. That I get a chance to connect and socialize with so many who I’d never get the chance to cross paths with otherwise. I really am just so grateful.

Sorry (not really) for this long of a post, but truly I am more happy, driven, and passionate than I think I’ve ever been and I cannot wait to share that passion with everyone I come across this year. I cannot thank my parents, all of my family, my friends, the Curl Haus, and everyone else who has truly supported me along my journey. 2024 will be the year of all years and I cannot wait to share my abundance with yall!

Someone told me recently that to be fast and good at something, you have to be slow first. That resonated with me as someone who is always looking for INSTANT gratification. My life has been a mosaic of hobbies, interests, and hyper fixations I’ve picked up and then gave up a week later because I wasn’t instantly great.

That mindset has created great limits on things in my life but I’m determined to break that cycle. As I look and see 2024 is right on the horizon, I have a commitment to myself and everyone in my life to continue working and pushing forward on things I want and things I want to be great at. You look in the mirror day after day and nothing has changed, but you look back at a year and everything is different. Small steps lead to great change.
