Mascara! This is one toxic products widely available no matter if you are shopping drug store or “prestige”! By proving you with this knowledge we hope you will take a closer look at what companies are allowed to put in your products.

Today we are providing a swap for a well known and used mascara: the two faced better than s*x mascara. This lily lolo Big Lash mascara is a literal clean dupe for more than a few reasons. From the brush to the formula this is going to feel no different but the mascara is made in London and made without these common ingredients!

❌ Coal tar: These dyes contain heavy metals, and are known to be a carcinogen (ingredient known to lead to cancer) These can be labeled under a few different names too! Such as carbon black, or under Blue no. 1, or as CL followed by 5 digits!
❌ Fragrance: you typically don’t think fragrance would be in a mascara; however, they put this one in there to mask the scent of coal tar! This can be literally anything. There is no law they have to tell you what this is, it can be upwards a mixture,blend of 3,100 ingredients. When tested, most products that contain the “ingredient” Fragrance it has 14-29 undisclosed ingredients!
❌ Parrafin Wax: is a ingredient derived from petroleum! Known to clog pores, and omit toxic chemicals like toluene and benzene if warm which are carcinogenic! That’s also why Parrafin candles should be avoided, so if you would not burn it why put it on your lashes???
❌ Polyester-1: used as a film former in products they have been known to be blended with formaldehyde!
❌ formaldehyde: this ingredient is added to be a preservative. It’s added in many cosmetics and personal products because it can make products have a shelf life before it gets in your hands for 6-7 years! Yes when you buy conventional cosmetics most have been in ware Yes when you buy conventional cosmetics most have been in ware houses before reaching you that long! They hid this one under a ton of names too!
❌ Parabens: This one is a known hormone disruption that plays a leading role for causing tumors, birth defects and infertility
THERE we said it 10 year olds do NOT need adult skin care. With the rise of tiktok and influencers we are seeing girls as young as 10 (even in some cases 5) wanting adult skin care routines!!! 😳

Ingredients 10 year olds do NOT NEED ❌ retinol ❌ anti-aging ❌ peptides ❌ collagen ❌ vitamin c ❌ and anything with toxic chemicals
IF as a mom you feel like your daughter is ready for self care we recommend JUST a cleanser and moisturizer. If you want to pick up a honey bee or smudge mask that’s fine too for self care Sundays with you.
Anything more is honestly a waste of money and can cause more harm to their very fresh plump skin. These ingredients are not made for children, period!
Obviously, you are the parent and you are your child’s best influencer. Showing your daughter how to let her natural beauty shine through and with minimal products will always be our recommendation.

First, we just want to say, WOW, we can’t believe we even made it to 7 years. Opening a small business we all know the statistic that 90% of business will fail and to even have made it to 7 says something about our time together.
