Robin Humphress has to be an excellent talent scout in her job as executive director of Kentucky Classic ARTS at Centre Square. She landed a great talent when she asked Marion Countian June Sooter to exhibit her nature photos in SchoolGrounds Coffee in Lebanon, KY. June's photos are...well...stunning, in scope and variety. She has developed an intrusive style for capturing bears in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Her sunsets are the result of hard work and snapping the perfect moment. Her other animal reveal personalities. In short, June's work is an excellent example of how great photos can be when it's driven by heartfelt compassion. Make sure you catch this exhibit!

We often talk about the "different" kind of work we do nowadays. Well...check this out: A historical wayside marker project for the Lebanon (KY) Tourist & Convention Commission and the City of Lebanon.
Here's the original post that was on the Visit Lebanon KY page...
Lebanon's new historical wayside marker project is virtually complete, and is now on display throughout downtown. A city public works crew--P. J. Franklin, Craig Mattingly and Austin Hinshaw--installed nine today, Aug. 4, 2023. Those went into existing metal display stands that the crew power washed and repainted. The three remaining wayside markers are new, and will go up soon at Lebanon City Hall, the Marion County Public Library, and Myrtledene. The historical wayside marker project was funded and produced by the Lebanon Tourist & Convention Commission
John Bramel, who researched, wrote, photographed and reconstructed the historical images, and designed the project, said it completes a loop throughout the town. "Old historical marker stands were restored and new ones will be installed. The new content flows as a 'timeline' that tells the historical story of Lebanon from pre-settlement to current day."
Nena Tharp Olivier, executive director of tourism, said a brochure and digital content will be created to guide viewers and visitors along the "trail" of historical wayside markers. The trail begins at the Dave Hourigan Judicial Building, up Spalding, down Martin Luther King to the Sunny Side Downtown, loops past Lebanon City Hall and ends near the library, which is near the beginning of the loop.
Bramel said the project would not have been possible without preservation of important archives at the Marion Co. Heritage Center and the Marion County Public Library. Also, Nukem Graphics, LLC. produced the panels designed to withstand the elements for years.
Bramel said, "Buffalo, colorful and important characters, the Civil War, little known elements buried in our building architecture...there's a lot there, all told in a fun way that I hope people enjoy."
We have created a new social media presence/digital promotion for a new client, and the page is up and running. Check it out by clicking here: Lebanon Water Works. Make sure you click "like" and follow. There will be a ton of great info presented on that page. And don't forget...Lebanon Water Works owns and operates Fagan Branch Reservoir. So that page will be a great place to keep up with happenings there.
Since the 1980s, we've been creating images. More than 40 years later, that's what we still do. New tools (we call them toys because we love the advances so much) and new ways of using the images. Now we're creating social media platforms and digital presence for customers and business clients. Also, content for websites and digital advertising. We've even moved into outdoor activities and environmental lifestyle opportunities. And of course here in Kentucky there's so much opportunity to photograph bourbon, bourbon and bourbon. Here's to the future, and we love it. ~John and Joanne Bramel
