Tonight we closed out National Assisted Living week by having our community fall fest! Everyone enjoyed animals, face painting, pumpkin painting, s’mores and so much more!
Thanks to all who could make it out to make tonight even more special!!!
Happy National Assisted Living week!
During day, five of national assisted-living week, we did a little throwback Thursday and created our inspiring generations tree. Tomorrow night at our fall fest, we hope to have family members join our residence by adding their handprints to the tree.
This will represent our family tree and the generations behind Celebration Villa of Lebanon.
“Based on its name, a family tree is structured like a tree, with the individual as the 'root' and their parents, grandparents, and ancestors making up the 'leaves' one level at a time. In a family tree chart, lines are used to connect family members and portray their relationships.”
Today was about the staff during national assisted living week!
Department heads joined together to provide a tailgate style luncheon, food/ drink vouchers for sheets and all week they’ve been able to earn tickets for our basket raffle on Friday!
It was a great day even though Wednesday’s can be a little “wacky” 😉
More seniors are thinking twice before picking up that glass of wine (and not just about whether to go with red or white).
Nonalcoholic drink sales have surged in recent years, with NA beer, wine, and spirit sales increasing by more than 35% from 2021 and 2022, according to a Nielsen report.
So what's behind the change? Are seniors becoming curious and is this something you should explore as well? Read More Here: https://celebrationvillaoflebanon.com/are-seniors-becoming-sober-curious/
Not your average group of superhero’s at Celebration Villa of Lebanon! Today for NALW we dressed as our favorite superhero.
Our residents were also introduced to our new Director of Dining, Heather McCauley-Cook. She sat and talked to the residents about the new fall/ winter menu while they snacked on brownies!
The residents favorite part of the day (besides bingo) was the employee nerf shoot out! The residents were given the opportunity to shoot at our staff! The giggles could be heard around the block!
Happy National Assisted Living week! Today was crazy hair day and staff wore their Inspiring generation shirts!
Lots of fun with short games, fresh made brownies and ice cream and their favorite card game- UNO! Lastly, residents left handprints behind on our life enrichment director by giving MANY Hugs!
The door decorating competition for National Assisted living week begins! All week long anyone can vote for their favorite fall/ Halloween door decorations!
Which is your favorite?!?
We are so excited to begin National Assisted Living Week. As a facility we have started a team to Walk and End Alzheimer’s. We would love to invite family, friends, staff and even residents to join us on November 2nd in Harrisburg as we walk together. Our team goal is $5,000 and we would LOVE to crush that and to do it this week would be AMAZING!
Hope everyone has an amazing week and we hope to see you Friday at fall fest!
Reminder: tomorrow is crazy hair day!

An estimated 6.7 million Americans aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's disease, and the number is expected to nearly triple to 14 million by 2060. I have no words (which rare for me) when it comes to this past Saturday and the money that was raised for our resident holiday fund! It just amazes me peoples generosity, it truly brings tears to my eyes! We exceeded what I thought we would raise.
Thank you isn’t enough..
To our vendors, thank you for showing up and spending time with us Saturday! Everyone’s items were fantastic and don’t get me started on the food. YUM!!
With my whole heart thank you to everyone!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Yesterday we did a small group outing to chocolate world! So much fun and SO many treats bought!
Today some of our residents cashed in their prize tickets to have a pizza party with our Life Enrichment Director and Transport driver!! Yum!
This Saturday, August 24 from 8am-2pm!
We would love to see you there!
Welcome to Camp Celebration Villa!
Today was all things s’mores, hot cocoa, trail mix, special bingo and more!
The chocolate faces from the s’mores was my personal favorite!
Our residents LOVED the group of kids who shared their talents with them today! Many different instruments played and even singing!
Something about kids bring out the best in our residents!
Today our residence prepared cookies for the kids who will be having a recital during happy hour tomorrow. Some of the residents may have taste tested, one or two.
With a little help from science today we went ice fishing!
All it takes it a bucket, ice, a little water, a string and salt!
Some residents were very successful some said it was exactly how they use to fish- unsuccessful.
Therapy comes in many forms. Today’s drum circle did just that! The residents played to the beat of their own drum while learning different rhythms! Thank you to Heidi, our transport driver, for offering such a fun activity!
