The Brownsburg show was rough. Our tent broke, one dragon got its wings torn off by the wind, and the T-Rex skeleton broke in three critical places.

It took me a while to work up the motivation to fix them after working on them for so long, but the T-Rex is back in order, and is restrengthened to more than it was before.

I burned out the core of the spine in pairs where the two breaks were, and splinted them back together with a small copper wire core and glued them back into place.

A Study of Tyrannosaurus Rex. It’s been over a year working on this pair. Onto future endeavors!

It’s done! Tyrannosaurus Rex made from Black Walnut twigs and hot glue. The base is a bunch of bark and grasses.

I put together a couple of acorn figures for some friends yesterday. Inspired by Becorns!

I’ve been working on a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton for about a year. Today I finished its head. Made out of Black Walnut twigs and glue.

Next are the arms!

My largest turtle yet! This creation was made with black walnut twigs, pinecone scales, and acorns.

My current collected works (except for a couple pieces still in progress) are now on display at Come by the library and check it out!

Stick Squirrel I made earlier this year. The tail and body are made entirely from Black Walnut twigs, and it’s holding a husk from a walnut too! The eyes are seed pods I harvested a couple years ago.

Come visit Lebanon Public Library in September to see my collected works on display! I paused the prior project to make a new sculpture that will premiere at the library. Here’s a preview! Lebanon Arts Council.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex is done! It’s made from Black Walnut twigs, has a hinged lower jaw, is balanced with rocks in the legs, and has dandelion flowers for eyes.

This is also the first work that I timed, and it came in at 82.5 hours, 8 or so hours were spent cleaning off excess glue.

This slowly growing pile of excess glue can only mean one thing… The T-Rex’s final reveal is coming!

Teeth! Did you know that paleontologists now believe that the T-Rex’s teeth were most likely covered by lizard-like lips when their mouths were closed?

While one is still in progress and the other two are in need of repairs, this dragon trio I worked on last year is still quite fearsome! 😤
