HAIR TIPS 🥶 for COLD weather

As we are starting to go into the colder weather months, our hair requires extra TLC! Here are some tips to keep your hair healthy through the holiday season ❄️

❄️ Less HOT Showers
•Who doesn’t love a nice hot shower? Well, when taking hot showers too often, your hair hair does not like it! Hot water can actually strip your scalp and hair of it’s natural oils, leaving it feeling dry and more brittle than before. Try limiting how many HOT showers you take per week.

❄️ Moisture Products
• Dryer Weather = Dryer Hair. Up your usage of hair moisturizing products. Hair masks are a GREAT way to keep your hair nourished and hydrated. Using a leave-in conditioner and/or oil on your mids + ends will help further moisturize and protect your hair.

For Dry/Cold Weather:

•Hair Masks - 2x a week

•Leave-In Conditioner - At least 2x a week - apply from mids to ends to damp hair - after your shower or once hair is dampened.

•Hair Oil - Every other day - everyday -
Be sure to find a hair oil that’s right for your hair. There are lighter oils for thinner hair and thicker oils for thicker hair. Apply to damp hair from mids to ends. This can be accompanied with your leave-in conditioner. A small amount of oil can be used on the mids-ends or just the ends of your dry hair for added shine and protection.

❄️ Less Frequent Washing
Try and limit how many days a week you’re washing your hair. Over washing strips your hair of its natural oils. If you’re washing every day, STOP. Limit washing to every other day. If possible, limit to every third day. Your natural hair oils help protect your scalp. Dry shampoo will help you in between washes!

Pinch me it’s September…!! 😭 wedding season is almost to an end and its been such a blessing! This wedding was so fun! I love working local weddings where I’m bound to find out my bestie is the photographer and fellow artists I work alongside are people I went to school with! The beauty team was strong with this one 💪🏻 Everybody knows everybody in a small community and it’s such an awesome experience 🥰 it’s especially awesome when my clients are beauties inside and out 🥹
