Rise Up Rolls

Well, this was the last official day of business for Rise Up Rolls! I ended up delivering mostly all of my MJ orders today. All of my customers have been so amazing and I am SO grateful for all of you!

This is not the end of my brand, just the end of the cinnamon roll era. (Yes I know I've posted this a lot but I'm making sure everyone sees the message and knows that we are closed now lol)

Not only that, I actually won't be baking anything for customers anymore! As a stay at home mom I had to come to the realization that I can't be available to bake full time+overtime as though I were a brick and mortar bakery.

An important lesson that I learned also is that I'm not quite so passionate about normal baking as I thought. Being good at something doesn't equal passion and it's my goal to always be as authentic as I can be.

I DO however have a plan that does involve a more specific passion of mine, which falls under the health-conscious and sourdough category ❤️

I'm fully aware that starting a business takes a lot of time and effort, and to me the sacrifices are only worth it when you are pursuing a worthy passion which I was not, but I heard that lesson loud and clear and I will be now!!💜

Feeling bittersweet today that this is coming to an end for me but I am beyond excited for what is to come!

I'm going to be building another business from the ground up that still involves baking but a totally different biz model that lines up with one of my authentic passions 😌

Sometimes you just have to get your feet wet and do something to figure out if it's the right move long-term, and this just wasn't for me and my family!

I FINALLY pinpointed what the peanut butter filling in the ✨brand new✨ Chocolate Peanut Butter Bliss roll tastes like!

It tastes like this super nostalgic peanut butter fudge that my mom used to make when I was a kid (📣shoutout to Dana Winand lol), that like super melt-in-your-mouth, hint of vanilla, peanut buttery flavor.

I don't really think there's too many varying recipes for peanut butter fudge so you probably know exactly what I'm talking about!!

And then the chocolate glaze and peanut butter icing on top with the crunchy honey peanuts just makes it so heavenly🤤

These are now on the menu in all sizes! I'm already making them for orders this week 🤣

We are revamping our menu once again but tomorrow I will probably just go ahead and post the valentine's day menu while we finish up the graphic so y'all can start placing your orders!! I'm super excited for y'all to try the Rise Up Rolls version of this classic duo 😍🥜🍫

Guysss!! I am making a special order for Steak n Shake Mt Juliet (my favorite fast food🥲🥲) on Wednesday!! They saw my car magnets when I went through the drive thru! (And this is really a shout-out to them, 5 star customer service and one of the best burgers I've had from any steak n Shake location!)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

MY QUESTION IS: I will have a sampler box of 2 traditional, 2 deluxe maple pecan, 2 white chocolate raspberry and 2 chocolate peanut butter bliss (not even officially on the menu yet!!!) available for $36 plus tax. Story time: The first day I started testing out these flavors, a few hours in I realized I was not having a good time. Like, just feeling emotional and upset. 😥

And then I remembered a time when I worked at the Inn at Biltmore Estate and had a job plating up fancy 4 star desserts. The job I actually wanted to be doing at the time was making the desserts, producing and assembling them not just plating someone else's creations.

I was actually given a chance to create my own dessert option. But I felt like I was babied the whole time (looking back now I can totally understand why), and any of the flavors I came up with on my own were disapproved.

What ended up being the final product didn't even feel like my own, because it partly wasn't, and was one of the least popular options of the menu at the time! 🤣

Now having free reign to decide what flavors to use in my own business,

I didn't realize how much this experience affected me until earlier this week when I realized that my subconscious belief had become "You're not creative and they're not going to like what you have to offer"😩

And in that moment I decided I would rise up out of those lies, and approve of MYSELF. I have so much creativity to share and I have so much proof that my flavors have enriched so many of my customers lives!! 💜 And I am so proud of the cinnamon rolls I get to share with y'all!

So take this lesson from me:
YOU have so much creativity in you.
Don't let other people's disapproval dim your light.
You have the power to approve of your own gifts and abilities to make the world a brighter place. 🫶🏻
