I’m making good Progresss on the cabinet for the family room.
~ Shifting gears from thinking of painting it white.
Now doing it a charcoal, will distress and add a black glaze ontop. I’ll leave the top the natural (added more chips and scratches and glazed it) and the ball feet, as well as the glass doors.

Slowly but surely it’s coming along.
Hope to be done in the next day or two.

Baby Ella Mae is due any day
& I just finished this up for her room to use as the changing table.
It was your typical older wood piece I transformed to be a softer and sweet, light blush paint color with stained top. Adding the jewels, of course, to finish it off with the Matte gold pulls.

Any day now…. Our little Ella will be joining our family and she’s already so very loved. 🥰💗💫🫶

Life’s too short for boring jewelry.

Many of my new designs are combinations of new and old pieces and parts I’ve had since the beginning of my jewelry making business in NY. 15+ years ago…

Some parts are even from older vintage jewelry, discarded and sold at estate sales and little treasures that friends and family have gifted me over the years.

I always try and think outside the box and do something a little special with these findings.
Creativity takes time, hours of effort and a lot of energy.

Future MVP ☺️ ❤️

A grand Transformation happened yesterday. From a “dark hole”cabinet with glass shelves I disliked so much to a bright, airy and organized cabinet.
A little paint, removing the center doors and added wood floating shelves for simple perfection!

This home has been a year of needed projects we didn’t expect to handle and not in the most happy of times. But I brushed off the dirt and chose to rise from the ashes of discomfort making it a happy place to fill with family and friends and create beautiful memories in.

Little by little it’s coming along.
I hope you enjoy the transformation as much as I do.

I present you with My newest Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity ReStore Lee's Summit find.
I saw the potential in this precious Eastlake piece that was hiding under a few old, gloomy, coats of poly someone had added years ago.
A little elbow grease and some Tlc🥰 she now shines like a diamond.
I topped her off with my garage sale lamp & an Antique store Italian lace bowl… it’s just perfect.

I always love picking and junking in the local resale stores, garage sales and dark and dusty places. That is where the “sleeping beauties” hide. One must simply find them and give them a new breath of fresh air. 🙂

Rainy day progress on the thrift store mirror …. 💝

So today I got a wild hair to paint over the dark brown paint the Flipper did to our mantle here. I grabbed the white paint and did a few areas on the sides. I’ve honestly hated the fact he painted over every square inch of the details in this house. I thought for sure it must have been j***y wood so he paint it. Well, I decided to grab the flat blade stripper tool and see. Here we have what lies beneath the paint. A Super chunky, cool wood, beam!

Thank goodness he didn’t use good paint or I’d have to faux paint it but here is my next challenge( #7,245) of this home 😉 beam/mantle-ala -natural.
Oh, And a few Marketplace and Goodwill finds I scored this last couple weeks. Wood carved mirror to be painted, tall Italian vases for the mantle decor as well. Changing the walls out as well. From the Green to the Smokey blue I also used in the eating area of the kitchen.
I’m brining in natural elements and splashing color throughout this home Adding🎨Happy👩🏻‍🎨happy🎨
