I broke my foot three weeks ago. While impatiently healing, I’ve noticed how much I’ve missed doing the things I love. Throwing discs for Lucca and even walking around with my fiancée, Amanda, immediately became difficult and frustrating. I’m getting adjusted regularly and fueling my body to ensure everything is healing to its best ability. I’m super excited to get back out there!

I promote falling deeply and madly in love with yourself. In fact, it’s my favorite thing to watch.
It is my goal for you to never feel shamed about your size, gender (or lack of one), sexual orientation, race, culture, religion (or lack of one), ect. It’s as much my home as it is yours!

With weather warming up, a lot of us are starting to head outside during our free time. It’s important to give our bodies the space to warm back up to avoid injury as we start doing the fun spring/summer time activities that we love.

This weekend, I’m heading out to Pleasant Hill, MO for a Skyhoundz Disc Dog Competition with Lucca. I’ll share how I’m warming up my shoulders and wrists for a short game of disc.

Did you know that I got the opportunity to serve people in Mexico on a service trip a couple years ago? I can’t wait to go back and serve more people!

My chiropractic story doesn’t start with an accident or even any aches and pains.

I started chiropractic care, my first semester at Cleveland (I also have a story on that). I started care with my intern, because it was an amenity of the school and aided a student. I didn’t have any physical complaints other than migraines triggered by stress. I’ve struggle with generalized anxiety through my adult life. My anxiety was getting easier to deal with and regulate with consistent chiropractic care. Because of the lower level/increase adaptability of anxiety, my migraines stopped!

With chiropractic adjustments allowing my nervous system to function to its best ability, my body was/is processing and adapting to anxiety (and stress) better. Increased anxiety is my sign that I’ve gone too long without an adjustment.

It’s important I share my story, because chiropractic care is more than low back and neck pain. Chiropractic care is to aid in the body healing itself. Sometimes it looks like pain relief other times it’s increased adaptability to your surroundings!

Meet Dr. Summer!

I grew up in Camden Point, MO. I attended Missouri Western State University receiving a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. After earning my Bachelor’s degree, Dr. Summer graduated from Cleveland University (previously Cleveland Chiropractic College) April 2020. I adjust using manual full spine and KTC (Kairos Training Community).

In my free time, I hike and go to farmer’s markets with my fiancée Amanda. I can also be found competing in dog sports with Lucca, my Great Dane. I greatly enjoy being able to participate in all the things I love, and I love to be a part of keeping people doing what they love!
