VCE Loudoun 4-H staff members Carly Wright and Kim Monroe were part of the Virginia Delegation that attended the National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals Conference on October 15-18, 2024, in Boise, ID.
During the conference, they met 4-H educators from across the country to share knowledge and make lasting connections. Thank you to Carly and Kim for their dedicated leadership of the County 4-H Program!

Loudoun County 4-H enrollment opens for the new year on Tuesday, October 1, 2024! To recognize the upcoming start of the 4-H year, VCE Loudoun recently spoke with Loudoun 4-H alumni to hear about their experiences and learn how participating in 4-H gave them important life skills they continue to use today.
First up, we would like to spotlight Jacquelyn Noel. Jacquelyn is a NASA contractor with Stellar Solutions, and she shared a presentation about her work with NASA for current Loudoun 4-Hers this past August.

Save the date! Next year's Loudoun-Fauquier 4-H Junior Camp will be held on June 15-19, 2025, at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center. Camper registration will open in March 2025.

Fauquier County 4-H
On August 20-21, 2024, VCE Loudoun 4-H staff members Carly Wright and Kim Monroe participated in the Virginia Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals (VAE4-HYDP) Conference in Newport News, VA.
During the conference, they networked with other 4-H educators, learned about upcoming events, and heard from colleagues about how they are effectively programming and engaging with youth in their communities.
Additionally, during the state awards presentation, Kim and Carly were recognized with the Excellence in Ag Literacy Programming Award for the 2023 Loudoun County 4-H Embryology Program, which reached an overwhelming 28,000 students. Carly was also awarded the Distinguished Service Award for over seven years of service to Virginia 4-H.
Thank you to Carly and Kim for their incredible leadership of the Loudoun 4-H Program and support for youth!

Thank you to VCE Loudoun 4-H alumnus Jacquelyn Noel for presenting on August 14, 2024, about her experience working for NASA! She discussed projects she has worked on, shared information about current NASA initiatives, and guided current 4-Hers through an interactive Mars landing activity. She also brought her rabbit Quinn as a special guest!
Happy ! This week, we're sharing a few interviews with VCE Loudoun 4-Hers who participated in the 2024 Loudoun County Fair. We're extremely proud of all of this year's participants for their hard work and dedication!
Congratulations to all the young ladies who participated in this year’s Miss Loudoun County Fair Pageant on July 14, 2024! 🎉
The contestants were judged on their 4-H involvement, community engagement, and extracurricular activities based on their responses to a series of questions during competition.
Special recognition to the three winners:

Chloe Ferringer, Junior Miss Loudoun County Fair
Eliana Dalgetty, Little Miss Loudoun County Fair
They will hand out all ribbons at livestock shows during the Loudoun County Fair and represent VCE Loudoun 4-H at community events throughout the next year. 🎡🍀
