NY Astros 45+ Midweek Win In Fashion, Walk It Off Versus Patriots 45

NY Astros 45+ Midweek took Monday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 walk-off victory over Patriots 45 at Mitchel Athletic Complex. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the eighth when Greg Visco singled, scoring one run.

Greg Visco collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Greg Visco singled in the eighth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.

A double by Wayne H put Patriots 45 on the board in the top of the first.

Erik Maldonado hit into a fielder's choice, which helped NY Astros 45+ Midweek tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.

Patriots 45 took the lead in the top of the fourth. An error scored two runs, to give Patriots 45 the leg up, 4-2.

NY Astros 45+ Midweek tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a dropped third strike, and a single by Matt Avila-Reme.

David Brohman earned the win for NY Astros 45+ Midweek. They gave up four hits and four runs (zero earned) over eight innings, striking out nine and walking none. Vic Lara took the loss for Patriots 45. The starting pitcher went seven and one-third innings, giving up five runs (one earned) on five hits, striking out four and walking one.

Wayne H provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Patriots 45 with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-3 on the day. Chuck Vorhees, Vic Lara, Steve Liesau, and Wayne H each collected one hit for Patriots 45. Patriots 45 turned one double play in the game.

NY Astros 45+ Midweek welcome Mariners on Tuesday for their next game.
