We recognize that this may create a conflict for some families also attending the elementary Meet the Teacher Night. If you cannot participate in the Zoom but have questions about the program at the middle school level, please reach out to your child's middle school principal or assistant principal.

We have incredibly talented staff throughout the Cape Henlopen School District, and we are VERY excited to share this unique opportunity with families and friends in the community. On September 12, please join us for a Faculty Recital in the Cape Henlopen High School Theatre. The show will begin at 7PM, and donations will be accepted at the door to benefit the music programs in our District! We hope to see you there!

Middle School families with children in the CAP program (gifted and talented) are invited to attend a Zoom information session about the program. The Zoom will take place Thursday evening, August 29 at 6PM. Mariner and Beacon teachers will have the below flyer tonight at their Meet the Teacher Night!

Attention Frederick D. Thomas Middle School Families!! The cleaning crews and contractors are working diligently, putting the finishing touches on and cleaning the building to be ready for families to visit! Because of this, we are pushing the Meet the Teacher Night event back to next Tuesday, September 3! Same time, same place, different date! Thank you for understanding!

It was a busy day for all! The Bookmobile finished its tour at the Burton Village Community Day, where some of the school admin and our superintendent handed out more books!

Our new staff had a great day visiting with students and families throughout our communities, and we couldn’t have done it without Ms. Joy and Ms. Evetta! Thank you for driving the buses today! 🩵💛

We had lots of fun in Milton! Mr. Cureton even met one of the students in his class this year! We’re heading to Rehoboth next!

This morning we had the opportunity to welcome some of our new staff to Cape! We are so excited to have you on our team and look forward to spending the next few days introducing you to our District!

❗Attention 6th Grade Families ❗We are hosting a Spanish Immersion Informational Zoom Session on Tuesday, Aug 20 at 5:30PM for 6th-grade students in the program. The Zoom session will go over what to expect at the middle school level and there will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

Good Morning Cape Families! We are officially 3 weeks away from the first day of school (but who's counting 😁😉)...We have a few reminders and important dates for you, including Meet the Teacher Night dates and a reminder of the school start times for the year! Check out the flyers for the details and keep an eye on our social media pages for any additional updates!

On August 21 we are hosting a registration event at Milton Elementary School from 5-8PM. This event is for families who live in the Cape Henlopen School District and have a child (or children) in grades kindergarten through 12, that need to register for the 2024-2025 school year. Details of what paperwork to bring with you are listed on the flyers attached to the post!

Cape Henlopen School District and Cape Henlopen High School have again partnered with Beebe Healthcare to provide additional grief support for students. Release and Reset is a support group for students that will be held on Wednesdays during their advisory period. The group will provide a space for students to express grief, find hope, and work together to move forward. 🩵💛

Cape Henlopen School District and Beebe Healthcare are partnering to offer grief support in conjunction with the Sports Physical Nights held on July 25 and August 1.

While an appointment is required for the sports physical, grief support services will be available on a walk-in basis during the hours listed below and will be offered in a private setting at the High School.

Grief and Behavioral Health Specialists will be available at the locations, dates, and times as follows:

Words can’t explain how heartbroken we are over the tragic loss of two of our students. Our thoughts and condolences go out to all of the family, friends, teachers, teammates, and coaches impacted. A sudden death can be a very upsetting experience. Please monitor your child and support them, as this may be a very difficult time for them even if they were not close to our beloved students.
