Hi, friends! I'm finally making a page to try and promote this lil' business of mine. I'm so excited to work with you! In this post, you'll find a basic FAQ regarding pricing and what I'll need from you to complete a commission.

Q: What kind of art do you do?
A: I specialize in portrait work. That means I'll be focusing on your pet's head and face. I do not offer full-body work at this time.

Q: How much is a portrait?
A: I price my painted portraits at $75 a piece. Silhouette style portraits are $40 each.

Q: What do you need to make my painting?
A: I require at least 1 HIGH QUALITY photo. This must be a file I can access, and not a physical photograph. For silhouettes, I need a front-facing photo of your animal (quality matters less here).

Q: What size are your portraits?
A: My default image size is 8 x 10. I can, of course, make your photo bigger or smaller depending on your needs! Keep in mind that if you are looking for a large painting, you will need to let me know. My images can be scaled down and still look crisp, but enlarging the image size will result in a loss of quality (this is less true for the silhouettes, which can be enlarged without a noticeable quality loss).

Q: Will you paint my child/grandpa/mother?
A: At this time, I am only offering portrait work for pets. That being said, I am happy to draw all manner of pets! Cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, snakes, finches, whatever!

Q: What is your timeline for completing work?
A: At this time, you can expect your artwork to be finished within a week of your order confirmation. If you need your artwork completed earlier than that, I may charge an additional rush fee.

Q: What will I receive when my order is complete?
A: You will receive a high-quality JPEG which is yours to keep! You may print this as many times as you like. For artwork you wish to formally frame and display, I recommend taking the JPEG to a print shop.
