The Zodiac Project: Gemini ♊️

I created two versions for this sign- but here is one for now!

Heyyyyyyyyyy....we are in Gemini season! It began on May 21st and ends on June 20th. It is the third astrological sign in the zodiac out of twelve total zodiac signs.

The Zodiac symbol is represented by twins 👯‍♀️ and the Gemini’s element is Air.

Yellow is known as the ultimate Gemini color and their personalities certainly reflect it. They are typically referred to as “social butterflies”.

Next week is finally my Leo and then next up is Pisces ♓️ and as you guessed it, I am looking for my model.

We will meet at my studio:

With our cameras in hand, we will explore the unique and charming pockets of Center Street, discovering perfect spots for stunning portraits with real subjects. I will guide you through my process: selecting settings, lighting techniques, and composition tips. You'll have the opportunity to practice and ask questions, learning from me both as a teacher and a fellow photographer.

During our two-hour session, we will encounter various lighting scenarios, allowing you to learn how to capture each one beautifully. This photowalk promises to be an inspiring and educational experience, enhancing your photography skills and enriching your ability to preserve life's special moments.

As someone who has suffered from lower back issues since I was a young adult (I’m talking throwing myself to the floor and needing help to get back up just from picking up a dog bowl) I can say that, for me, this product radically changed the quality of my life.

I've been sitting on this post for a few weeks. It finally feels good to post it.

I've always been appreciative of and inspired by the vulnerable truth-tellers of the world—those who are willing to speak on moments that are hard to vocalize and scary to admit.

The brave ones who know their truth will not only release the shame attached to it but also help other women feel seen and less alone in their own struggles.

So, with that being said...

I’ve been seeking out and speaking to women from different walks of life who own businesses all across the country. Women who, from the outside, seem to be running very successful businesses.

However, among our deep conversations, what I’ve discovered is that behind the scenes, many of these women are either planning their exit or are fighting like hell to keep their dreams of entrepreneurship alive.

These women are talented, hardworking, creative, and strong. They have put it all on the line to live out their passion to serve their people. They are heart-centered and community-driven women who desire to help others with their products or services, but for many reasons I think we are all aware of, in the last year, they are facing unprecedented challenges.

So, here’s the point: don't be fooled by the highlight reel on social media- its easy to get caught up and forget that it has a way of making things appear idyllic.

If you’re a small business owner reading this and you're struggling, please know that you are not alone.

Many of the women I spoke with agree with me, but I’ll speak for myself in saying that it’s scary to speak this into the interwebs, but I am doing so because the veil needs to be lifted and it needs to be said aloud.

Even though I know better, I too fallen victim to being the woman looking in from the outside thinking everyone else has it figured out but me and I feel strongly that I don’t want to add to this facade. It’s part of my internal fabric to be open and honest with others, and this is no different.

While most of these women, including myself, are just plugging along, working hard, pivoting, and of course playing the social media algorithm game, this does not mean that our businesses are thriving. The awards, the podcasts, the spotlights, the inspiring posts, the collaborations, and those fun little reels- while they are appreciated and exciting, they are not indicators of monetary abundance.

I personally am choosing to see this as a learning opportunity and a sign that I am meant for bigger things- and this is just a way of making space for me to explore it.

My skills and talents are good for many things and it’s time to start exploring. So I’ve just been speaking a resounding YES into anything that feels good in my soul and is aligned. If I get that little ping about something, I am leaning in, reaching out, and making it happen.

And I'm happy to report that it’s already led me to some pretty amazing women and unique opportunities that I may not have pursued otherwise.
