1️⃣!!! 🙌🏽 Yesterday we celebrated our hygienists ONE year anniversary! If you’ve been to our office in the last year you’ve definitely met Emma. She is our hygienist and such an awesome team player. She loves dental hygiene, teeth, and people. She fits our office culture so well and it’s been awesome having her take care of our patients! If it wasn’t for her- you’d all have plaque, tartar, and stinky breath 😇 jk, kinda. Thank you Emma! ✨

This sweet patient of ours was told her whole life that there’s nothing she can do about this stain on her front tooth except for get a crown. She wasn’t ready to commit to a crown or veneer yet because she’s still so young. We presented that we can try composite bonding and see if we can mask it. She LOVED the outcome and was so so happy 🥰♥️

This message from our SWEETEST patient deserves to stay on the feed 🥹❤️ When we got this message I was reflecting on how awesome it is that we can impact people’s lives in just the smallest gesture. Something as simple as providing snow cones to the elderly- you never know whose day you can turn around by just a simple act of kindness. Owners dont talk about the struggle of team turnover, managing a team, growing a team, nurturing a team etc. It’s something business owners deal with ALL the time. I’m so proud of all of these amazing women who stepped into SolidSMILES and have played a tremendous part in caring for all of our patients!! Every person plays such an important role and I’m thankful for where we are today! ❤️

We see a lot of highly anxious patients because the truth of the matter is- no one likes the dentist 🙃 HOWEVER- most times we are able to put patients mind at ease by being open, honest, explaining treatment, and providing a comfortable experience ✨

Raise your hand if you’re also a dentist that loves sweets🥲🫠…..
Real talk though- it’s not JUST sugars and sweets that cause cavities. We get a lot of patients with decay who claim to not be “sweet” lovers. In actuality- cavities are multifactorial. ✨Any break down of the enamel can cause cavities- aka acidic drinks (coffee), acidic fruits (pineapples), acid reflux, dry mouth, mouth breathing, etc etc. Keeping your mouth at an alkaline pH is what will help prevent decay. So go on and enjoy your cookies …!😋🍪😆

Our patient hated how the upper left crown stuck out like a sore thumb… it’s because it was an old porcelain fused to metal crown material. 😬 We changed the crown out to eMax all ceramic porcelain and it blends so well with her other teeth now! 😭😭 when I built this office the thought of having recurring patients for multiple years seemed so out of reach and now we have patients that have been coming to see us consistently for 3-4 years. Getting to know families and watching people grow over time is what I love most.

Y’all I totally forgot to post on our FOUR year anniversary!! 💓 It’s hard to believe I opened SolidSMILES July of 2019- It truly doesn’t feel like 4 years have gone by! I remember the days when it was me and just ONE employee. We would see maybe 3-5 patients all WEEK and I was working at 2 offices to supplement my income. Fast forward to now- we have five employees and see about 15 patients a day! Slow and steady is always how I pictured our small family practice and I’d like to think that’s what we’ve built! 💖 Owning a solo business has its challenges (trust me there’s a fire to put out every other day😅) but the rewards make it all worth it. At the end of the day- I didn’t care about the money, the status, the whatever- I wanted FREEDOM to practice how I want, treat people how I want, and provide amazing dentistry along the way. ✨ Thank you for the support from everyone these last 4 years and I’m excited for the start of year ✋🏽 !!
