Did you know there's an underwater weighing tank in the Seaton Building? Students taking physiology of exercise used it to complete their final lab last week. Volunteers exhaled completely while under the water, allowing their hydrostatic weight to be calculated. This method measures your muscle weight and fat weight to determine your percentage of body fat. It's the gold standard for body composition assessment.
