And the DIY women are ramping it up as well.

Somebody loved this old railroad lantern so much that they painted and wired it!

Made by the Dressel company of Arlington, Virginia, old lanterns like this date back to the late 1800’s. They were not only critical in signaling railway operations, but the manufacture of the lanterns was important to the city’s economy.

Now they’re just fun to have around!

This gorgeous little bit of railroad history can be yours for $45. (The electrical components are not operable in its current condition, but it could easily be rewired or removed and restored.)

The kerosene lantern contains a red filter that softly projects a warm red glow on its subjects. Made in the late 18 or early 1900’s, you likely won’t find another. Just $49.

This vintage 1960’s Sunbeam Radiant Toaster is a classic! These toasters offered the lucky owners mid-century elegance and consistent toasting performance. This specific piece is not working, but might be operable with the skills of the right repairer.

I own a 1970’s model and consider it a true piece of art. Checkout comps online. $95.

This lovely old mirror is positively stunning. It is heavy glass and set in a wide wooden decorative gold frame. The mirror is in very good vintage condition and could be switched to hang portrait if desired by the new owner. $95.

Haven’t you always wanted to play the xylophone in a marching band? This could be your chance! Strap on this 1970’s Jenco xylophone, complete with mallets and the chest strap, of course, and get moving! Just $79.

Are there babies in your future? We have a beautiful group of handmade baby things that are both new and vintage.

These pieces were created by a hobbyist who loved to knit and crochet and did so for 30 or more years, saving her work for family and friends as needed!

There are also a number of “new” vintage afghans, lap blankets, ski caps, beanies, toboggans and more. Sizes, prices, and colors vary, but all are precious. Priced very reasonably from $6 to $30.

(Most of the pieces have been wrapped to avoid excessive handling, but you’re welcome to unwrap and enjoy them when you visit.)

Feeling groovy? Brighten your space with a bit of nostalgia and these great sixties pieces. Wave or S chairs, $80 each, or the pair, $150. Wicker ottoman or table, $35. Ashtray, $10. Books, $10 to $20.

This super cute gold-toned cigarette case has a bit of wear, but operates smoothly. The Scripto butterfly lighter appears to operate well, but you’ll need to add lighter fluid and a flint to test it out!

The pair, $20.

Here’s a fabulous vintage Castrol jacket that’s in excellent condition despite having two small spots that need attention (or not).

The jacket is an extra large unisex piece, but I think extra large sizes were probably a bit smaller years ago.

The zipper is separating from the fabric at the bottom and one pocket has a hole. Both should be easy fixes for a tailor or seamstress if you choose to make them. Your price is “as is.”

You’d look really good in that jacket. 😉

How can you not love this clock? If you love clocks, cars, tires, or old advertising items, you will love this clock! It’s a 1950’s, 6.5,”Goodyear advertising piece that has been running strong since I purchased it. It’s a small rubber tire that is both a wall clock and a table top model. Such a great gift idea!
