We are thrilled to announce, alongside Jenny Bukovec Design, that The Manchester Hotel has been honored with the prestigious title of Lifestyle Hotel of the Year at the HD Awards! Presented by Hospitality Design magazine, the HD Awards recognize outstanding projects and products, celebrating the creative teams behind them. Our heartfelt congratulations go to the talented design team led by Jenny, and our very own Brent Bruner!

Situated on the historic grounds of the former Ashland Distillery, The Manchester Hotel seamlessly blends Lexington's rich bourbon heritage with modern design and upscale amenities, establishing itself as a must-visit destination for travelers and a beloved local hotspot. The exterior, styled in a "Rickhouse Revival" aesthetic, pays homage to the traditional structures of bourbon production that once graced this very location.

The first new building on the KY Dept of Criminal Justice Training campus in 20 years, the Jody Cash Multipurpose Training Facility is well-under construction. This state-of-the-art 42,794 square foot indoor firing range facility is named in honor of fallen Calloway County Chief Deputy Jody Cash, a distinguished law enforcement veteran who dedicated his life to service. Slated for completion in 2025, our design is committed to nurturing the next generation of law enforcement officers, aiming to graduate over a thousand Kentuckians every year. We are honored to be part of this initiative, shaping a safer future for Kentucky.

We are so happy to welcome Joey Madaj to our Lexington office!

Joey is an art history, ecological sustainability, and design visualization enthusiast and graduate of the University of Kentucky. He brings a fresh perspective to our team and is always ready for the next opportunity. Originally from Washington, D.C., Joey now calls Lexington home, where he enjoys the City’s charm and small-town personality.

Joey's passion lies in finding design methods that make a difference. If his work can shift the way people view the built environment and, in turn, improve the way people live their lives, then his goal is met. Outside of work, Joey enjoys a good game of chess and discovering new music.

We love when our team gets a little bigger! Please help us welcome Mitchel to the EOP | Champlin Louisville office.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Mitchel's path to design began early, receiving his first drafting table at age 10. His passions led him to earn an industrial and graphic design degree from IPDI in Havana, an degree in drafting and CAD from Louisville Tech, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky. Mitchel's design philosophy is deeply influenced by Vitruvian principles, harmonizing functionality, durability, and beauty. Outside of design, his world revolves around painting, sculpting, family, friends, an appreciation for all music genres, and a love for the ocean.

We are so proud of our very own Senior Interior Designer Lesley Thomas for telling her story and journey to leadership in design to National Association of Women in Construction this week at an event hosted by our friends at Office Resources, Inc. She spoke about being on both sides of mentorship, learning from mistakes, and how to find opportunities if you are willing to speak up. We love when our own get to express their passion and speak to their peers.
