Vacuum therapy cupping is a add on to your massage therapy treatment that relaxes the soft tissue with a vacumm suction. Cups adhere to your skin through gentle suction from a vacuum therapy machine. It is used to help with range of motion issues caused by tight muscles. It brings blood flow and oxygen to the area of the muscle being worked and helps promote cellular repair. Vacuum therapy cupping as with the other forms of cupping helps to stimulate the lymph system, decreasing the level of toxins and lactic acid build up in the muscle, helping to reduce inflammation in the area of treatment. It has been said to overall reduce soreness and fatigue in the muscle. This type of cupping is also known to help release trigger points, fascia adhesions and smooth some cases of scar tissue.
