SB349 Is quite literally a handout to the Coal lobby. This bill (IF Passed) will drive up electric utility rates across the state. Will grant the coal lobby decision making power over both the Public Service Commission and Electric utilities as to what power source they are able to use and when they can decommission old, outdated coal fired plants in favor of cheaper, cleaner and more modern sources such as solar. The bill has passed the Senate and is currently in House committee on Natural resources and Energy and could be voted on any day.
