CLIENT CELEBRATION‼️🎉
Hey Everyone! Today I want to talk about transformations. When we hear that word, we usually think of physical changes, but there's so much more to it! Let me tell you about my close friend/client, who is the perfect example of a REAL transformation.
When Zoe and I first crossed paths, she was your typical college student, with all the usual bad habits: irregular meals, stress, and a not-so-consistent fitness routine. Sound familiar?
We've been on Zoe's transformational journey together for over 3 years now, and man, have we made some incredible changes to her overall health!
Breaking those comfortable habits she grew up with wasn't easy, but she fully embraced the LONG TERM plan, and we've never looked back.
Now, she's enjoying a wider variety of foods, even ones she never thought she'd try. Her riding performance has skyrocketed, health markers are in the safe zone, and she's managed to shed some body fat along the way.
Our focus was never solely on the scale. We prioritized consistency and tackled any obstacles that came our way. Needless to say, she has crushed all her goals, and now we're gearing up for her wedding in December. Let's all congratulate Zoe on this incredible journey! 🎉🎊🎈
RE-INTRODUCTION ‼️
Hi there! 👋 Since it's been a while and I've got some fresh faces in the crew, I thought I'd reintroduce myself. I'm Tony Sandoval, your friendly neighborhood equestrian strength coach. Originally a SoCal guy, I've been in Lexington, KY for almost a decade. Oh, and did I mention I'm lucky enough to have an awesome partner in crime, my wife Kristen, for over four years now? 🥰
Before diving into the world of equestrian coaching, I kicked off my professional journey as a Division 1 College Strength and Conditioning Coach, having the privilege or training athletes in various sports and rubbing should with some of the best coaches out there. 🏋️♀️ But hey, life is full of surprises, right?
My journey took an exciting twist when I got to work with Allie Knowles to help her recover from a serious injury. That experience opened my eyes to the importance of training for performance, not just fitness, for every rider out there.
Nowadays, my team and I are all about getting riders prepped for the physical demands of the sport by taking a holistic approach. We'll tackle pain and compensations from previous injuries (and prevent new ones) and boost your overall health and wellness. We want you to have longevity in the sport you're so passionate about!
We've got a lot of ways to connect with our riders, from in-person training to virtual sessions and assessment clinics. These are all ways we can learn more about you and the areas of your riding that need a little extra attention.
My mission here is to serve you with the most helpful content possible. So don't be shy! Feel free to leave any feedback or suggestions on what you'd like us to cover. Together, we'll take your riding to the next level! 🐎💪

🔹 Whenever on speaking at conferences or on podcasts, I always make sure to educate riders on the difference between performance training and fitness.
🔹In my EqueStrength System, the priority is to build fitness to a point where we can implement performance based training in a manner that will transfer to the saddle.
🔹 One way we do that is to assess and re-assess. We want to make sure that you’re improving with the skills that you’re currently working on with your trainer.
🔹 We like to either view riding videos OR go out to client’s barns and watch them during lessons or even at shows (most ideal for me). This way we can gather visual feedback on things we can improve off tack.
🔹 Remember, being fit is important but fitness does NOT equal performance. You have to have a strategy in place to keep making improvements with your athleticism to improve your riding.
❓How do you measure your performance?
CONGRATULATIONS to my friend on her big wins early this week.
🔹We’ve been grinding for a long time and she has really hit her stride with all things health, wellness, and performance.
🔹So proud of her and her team‼️

🔹We talked about lots of topics including the right mindset you need to have to get the benefits of a strength and conditioning program.

🔹 A great way to be consistent with your nutrition is to find your STAPLES.
🔹 A staple is a meal that is your GO-TO that you can make with your eyes closed. You’ve made it so many times that it’s not a struggle to prepare. That’s the goal, eliminate any struggles that could derail your consistency.
🔹 My breakfast staple is this:
- Protein - egg whites, egg, ground turkey, and turkey bacon
- veggies
- carbs - steel cut oats with fruit
- Gotta have a little salsa in there
🔹The more staples you can create for your meals the more consistency you can create and see results in your energy, body composition, and health.
❓What are your STAPLE meals?
