Since 1993, the Hope Center’s mission has been to care for those experiencing homelessness, substance use disorder, and mental illness by providing life-sustaining and life-rebuilding services that are comprehensive and address underlying causes. It’s not enough to only provide the homeless in our community with a place to get off the street; we must also provide them with the tools they need to s
Today we remember those we have lost to overdose deaths. Each life lost is a tragedy and a reminder of the importance of supporting those struggling with addiction.

The LFUCG Division of Emergency Management has activated Phase 1 of its Heat Plan for Saturday, July 13th, through the evening of Tuesday, July 16th.
At this phase of activation, Lextran offers free rides to cooling stations for persons experiencing homelessness. Outreach teams will also be in the community distributing supplies and assisting persons in accessing cooling stations. A listing of cooling station is available via the full plan:

Sunday, July 14th
• New Life Day Center (224 N Martin Luther King Blvd) will open between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. to operate as a cooling station.
• Recovery Cafe (1109 Versailles Rd, Suite 200) invites guests to access their community center between 12:00 and 4:00 p.m.
We encourage those working with persons experiencing homelessness to communicate forecasted conditions as well as services available.
