This is the time to plant Irises for spectacular blooms in the Spring! I don’t just love flowers! I love the story and meaning behind them. Our irises are rebloomers. They will bloom Spring and Fall. The foliage in between blooms makes for an amazing backdrop for your Spring perennials. THEY ARE ON SALE for $7 each until the end of October. Normally $10-$15!

Sometimes, one large bloom with an amazing vase makes a great statement!

I started a container garden months ago. It has brought me so much joy. Edging is in place today. It will be spectacular next Spring!

I saw a post this week on a Dahlia page saying buy from big box stores. They are cheaper. Big box stores get their dahlias from other countries. Support local farmers.

NASA has classified Snake plant, now called Dracaena, as an air purifier due to its ability to remove toxic compounds such as benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene and toluene.
This plant uses the acid metabolism of the Crassulacee to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide, enabling it to resist drought.
The microscopic pores on its leaves, called stomata, open only at night to limit water loss through transpiration in the heat of the sun.
Unlike other plants, Snake plant produces oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide at night, making it an excellent indoor air purifier while we sleep.

We have over 600 varieties of daylilies! If you think they all look the same, think again! People always ask which one is my favorite. I can’t pick one all time favorite because the beauty of each one has its’ own personality and stands out in the garden!
