🌧️🌼 Definitely haven't been taking many photos lately (my music is stealing all my storage) but here's a few from the deep.
#1 - my hands were so blue after working on .cato right after that I went straight to Art Bar from work for 10 year anniversary show.
#2 - A huge branch ended up snapping off this tree 😢 we had to cut some of it down the same day I took this picture.

#4-6 Market Day / it was a bit rainy / cold but other wise was an awesome day and I walked away with so many cool things from I got a worry stone from too (not pictured) , and a cool mushroom mug from Sunset Studio (can't find her insta) oh and someone stole one of my paintings ...🤦‍♀️

A real life A N G E L ✨
I've been cutting and coloring Lola's hair since I was in Cosmetology School. She recently came into town and let me refresh her tone and cut a ton of layers into her long hair .
Thank you for trusting me even back in the day when I barely knew what I was doing 😂

🌼 My Grandma started her Gray journey pretty young and really never colored her hair. I love that about her!
I think at all stages , her natural hair was so unique and pretty that it didn't give me a complex about chasing gray hair away but to instead embrace it.

🌼Today was the first time I styled her hair curly/wavy. She definitely was one of those people who brushed out all of their texture, so to see this much texture pop up was exciting !

🪄We did a scalp therapy treatment on her and followed with the Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5 min Mask. After that I styled her hair with One United , Curl Mousse, and Gloss (shine spray)

✨ I'll re-cap -
Hair Color is not meant to color over hair products or hard water buildup. In some cases this can cause uneven processing ,reactive foils (smoking , melting off) or toners fading off exposing un wanted tones.
I do use a demineralizer behind the chair but I would still recommend either of these to help combat these issues long term.
Nothing beats at home care.

I now carry a small group of my favorites to help you keep up your hair. Malibu C is only available at the shop but some of my other favorites are available on my website under the tab
" products".

Why did I choose to carry ?
I have used this line behind the chair for years and I absolutely love it. Not only do they care about the health of your hair AND scalp as well as provide amazing education to stylists but they are also eco- friendly , vegan , and free of harsh chemicals. And it works ! It's all I use at home since I deal with hard water issues.

Hi. I came to break the news to you about dirty hair before receiving a hair color service.

Here's some "scientify" hair facts.

The hair color products that are made today are not nearly as harsh as they once were. In most cases the color can make your hair feel amazing. But when you come with dry shampoo , hair spray , or build up it can have negative effects on your hair coloring process.

Hair color is created to work on hair and not on hair that is layered with styling products. When these two chemicals touch .. you run the risk of hot foils , hot roots (brass) , and possibly uneven processing.
It's always best to wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo that removes iron, minerals, calcium , and chlorine from your hair prior to any color services.
This will ensure even lifting / depositing of color and is a simple step you can do at home. This is especially important for anyone who has well water without filters.
* Also remember to not aggressively scrub your scalp with your nails or scratch your scalp before receiving an on scalp color service. You will regret it.

In summer we are doing different things to our hair so we need different things to care for it.
One thing I want to drive home is that I can't guarantee great hair if you're not taking care of it at home. I recommend doing this regimen once a week by getting the Barcelona Purple Shampoo from Pulp Riot, Olaplex #3 , & the All Soft Heavy Cream Deep Conditioner you would use this 1x a week.
If you have heavy build up, wash once a week , work out , or garden, then I also recommend a clarifying Shampoo. You can pick between Redkens Hair Cleansing Cream , Olaplex 4c , Or Pulp Riot Budapest. You would use this before your purple shampoo regimen.
PLEASE STOP WASTING YOUR MONEY BUYING PRODUCTS THAT I KNOW AREN'T RIGHT FOR YOUR HAIR!!!!!! Utilize my product knowledge and I can assure that you will notice a difference in the extension of your color & the health of your hair.

If you're dealing with dry , tangled , overly processed & brittle hair from excessive heat use. Then this is a great product for you to add to your hair arsenal. This saved my hair after quite a few color changes over the years. This product targets hydration which is completely different than Olaplex but I still recommend pairing the two products for extremely fragile hair.

The shop is so cute and decorated for our Wee Bit Celtic Crafters Market on 3/19 from 12-4pm. I'm not going to be vending at this one but I have a ton of stuff in the shop that you can see in person any time. I haven't been very active with my hair social media but that is partially because I'm trying to build up my art page Happy Til The Grave and also because I feel like pictures & videos of hair are not very interesting and just feel repetitive for me (no shade to anybody just my feelings on it right now) . This feeling gave me burnout and so I decided I would give my digital creative energy over to my art page and Flora & Fauna Marketplace instead. ☺️ Obviously based on the hundreds of previous posts on here.... I can do some hair 💁‍♀️💇‍♀️ and I think you get it , so I'm going to be personalizing this page a little bit more and share some thing that gives me more joy than hair videos and hair photos.

We have new hair clips !
I always recommend using clips, scrunchies, or those old phone cord hair ties to pull up your hair. We went for a nice matte collection with fall colors. A quick and perfect accessory for a cute hairstyle, I'm a sucker for mustard yellow so I chose one of the modern styles ☺️

Living for this cut I did the other day. I forgot to share the food truck for today which we will have every Tuesday 11-2pm , but be sure to come by tomorrow or Thursday for some lunch from these amazing Chefs. Oh and I helped paint these cute mushrooms too.
