Read this article about Josh Cunningham...
Four years ago, with your help...I was able to send about 25 of the most diehard Kentucky fans to Big Blue Madness through my "Pay it Forward Challenge." And after a little hiatus, I think I'm gonna do it again. This picture is from one of the stories that moved me so much. In 2010, Josh Cunningham- a Clays Mills Elementary student- was nominated for his willingness to help his friend Mohammad get around school in his wheelchair. I cried like a baby the day I got to surprise Josh and his dad with tickets and some UK gear to wear to their big night out.
TICKETS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED 9/20. Please keep me in mind as you get ready to camp out, get online or just end up with extra tickets you can't use. Let's make it a really special night for a soldier, a teacher, a cancer survivor or someone who's just really down on their luck. I can't wait to do this again!
Have the boys noticed the new Lime Green Easton bat the players are using in the LL World Series? That is the 2015 model that will be available this fall for next year. The orange one they are using is new too, it's different than this past summers. Has a silver handle and black print on the barrel. Everyone cheering for Chicago? They are so fast!
Two more of our "Unforgettables"! Thanks Donna for the pic and kind words. These boys along with the others had excellent seasons! So proud to coach them, and...it was so much fun!
Miss the guys already. Hope they each have a great first day of school. I guess summer baseball really is over. It was awesome.
To all of the parents of the Western 12U players:
Thank you for the opportunity and support to coach your fine young men this summer.

Bluegrass Airport in Lexington had a record 5.38 inches of rain on Sunday and in Bardstown we didn't have a drop. The Baseball Gods were shining on Western to let them finish their season!
What a weekend!
