I also enjoy baking immensely, but I am not that great at it. I like to give everything a try though. 4. Do you have any pets? I have three cats! Happi, Lucki, and Mimi! 5. If you were stranded on an island, what would you bring? As much cup noodles as I can carry. Ok fine, just to be practical, a knife.

I used to live on Mackinac Island where no cars are allowed and the primary modes of transportation are bicycles, horse-drawn carriages, or snowmobiles; emergency departments are the only folks allowed to drive vehicles. 3️⃣. What are your hobbies? Cooking is a large passion and hobby of mine but most importantly I love to spread random acts of kindness in many forms. We can all contribute more positivity to the world without asking for anything in return. 4️⃣. Do you have any pets? Pomona is my current foster dog who is a loving 4 year old female pit bull mix waiting to find her forever home. This is my first solo pet and I will biasedly say the joy she brings me and those she meets is indescribable. 5️⃣. If you were stranded on an island, what would you bring? If I were stranded on an island I would definitely bring lotion! Dry skin is a borderline phobia to me.

🎉Happy Birthday 🎉 to American Probation and Parole Association's very own, Gwyn Kaitis. Gwyn serves as APPA's Program Analyst, and works on a variety of grant funded projects all with the goal of improving probation, parole, and pretrial services. Gwyn is very invested in creating change that leads to greater success for the clients and their officer. Gwyn says, "she's lucky because she gets to work on various facets of the field including improving client conditions, studying the effects of the pandemic on probation departments, and working to reduce impaired driving." 👀 GET TO KNOW GWYN 👀 1️⃣. Where do you reside? I lived in the Chicago area my entire life and got sick of sitting in traffic for three hours a day so after my mom died eight years ago I moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico without ever having been here or knowing anyone. It’s a little mountain town that is beautiful and has surprisingly tons of things to do. Now I get to hang out with herds of elk and deer in my back yard. It’s a great change of pace. 2️⃣. What is one fun fact about you? I love to travel and explore and once rented a campervan in Australia and drove the entire Stuart Highway, a 2,000 mile route that extends from the tropical top of the continent to the wine country at the bottom through the desolate outback, sleeping on the side of the road at night. 3️⃣. What are your hobbies? Mosaic art, stained glass, rockhounding. I also volunteer at a non-profit theater here in Ruidoso. 4️⃣. Do you have any pets? I have a pitbull, a kelpie, and 2 cats. All of them are rescues. 5️⃣. If you were stranded on an island, what would you bring? A dog to keep me company. I’m very grateful to the first human who bravely petted a wolf that led to the existence of dogs in our lives.
