It’s time for one more trip to Illyria. Today is our final performance of Twelfth Night and we could not be more grateful for the amazing cast, crew, staff, and volunteers who all worked together to make this production possible. Thank you for bringing the bard’s words to life with us! We’ve enjoyed every minute and we’re so excited to share this wonderful story with audiences one last time.

Tim Hull has performed with many theatre companies throughout the Lexington area, as well as in New York City and San Francisco. Tim previously appeared with AthensWest as Dr. Givings in In the Next Room (or The Vi****or Play), and his most recent project was directing The Mousetrap for Woodford Theatre. Some favorite past roles include Crumpet in The Santaland Diaries (Actor’s Guild of Lexington), Dr. Frankenstein in Frankenstein (Woodford Theatre), Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps (Studio Players), Krogstad in A Doll’s House (On The Verge), The Professor in The Lesson (Theatre Farouche), Curly in Of Mice and Men (Woodford Theatre), Dick Wilkins in A Christmas Carol (A.C.T., San Francisco); The Torturer in The Possibilities (foolsFury, San Francisco); and David Bebe in Instigated Violence (Artistic Home NY, New York). Today we’d like you to meet local legend Walter Tunis, who we’re absolutely thrilled to have making his AthensWest debut with Twelfth Night! Active in local and regional theatre for over four decades, Walter's roles have included Lennie in Of Mice and Men, Hugh in Translations and DeLacey in Frankenstein for Woodford Theatre; Gayev in The Cherry Orchard for On the Verge; Beverly in August: Osage County for Kentucky Conservatory Theatre; Falstaff in Henry IV - Part I, Enobarbus in Antony and Cleopatra and Davenport in The Crucible for KCT Summerfest; Macbeth in Macbeth, Polonious in Hamlet, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing and Cornwall in King Lear for the Lexington Shakespeare Festival. He has also performed in numerous productions for Lexington Children’s Theatre. Offstage, Walter is a writer and freelance journalist who has served as a contributing music critic and columnist for the Lexington Herald-Leader since 1980.

Previous credits include Chris in Becky’s New Car, Francis Flute in UKTD's A Distant Dream, Jack Beck in Nights at the Algonquin Round Table, and various roles in Studio Players’ Ten Minute Play Festival. Offstage, his credits include directing Nick Payne’s Constellations, assistant directing Nelson Diaz-Marcano’s Paper Towels, and serving as ensemble director for Teatro Antifa Presents… with UK Studio Season. In his spare time, he enjoys video games and teaching himself to play mandolin. We'd like to share another one of our incredible cast members of Twelfth Night! Sam-Claire Bieber is overjoyed to be working with AthensWest Theatre Company once again. Recent credits include Emma Watson in a reading of The Watsons and Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, both at the University of Kentucky, and Sheridan in Who Holds The Devil with Afterculture Theatre. She is also an Adv. Actor Combatant and Fight Director having assisted at both Regional and National Stage Combat Workshops and choreographed for UKOpera, Morehead State University, and Afterculture Theatre. When not on stage you can catch her eating shakshouka with her roommates, making delicious coffee at A Cup of Common Wealth, and listing facts about birds to anyone in earshot! It's time to meet another one of our amazing cast members from our upcoming production of Twelfth Night!
Jesse Hungerford is overjoyed to be making his AthensWest debut with such a wonderful cast and timeless script. Before he returned to Lexington, he was a member of the Aleatoric Theater Company in Chicago, and performed in “The Complete Works…(abridged),” “The Laramie Project,” and the Chicago debut of “Come n’ Go.” A Kentucky native, Jesse has been seen in multiple community productions including: "Lord of the Flies," "The History Boys," "Dog Sees God," and as the title role in "Romeo and Juliet." Other local productions include; "Peter and the Starcatcher," "Henry IV pt. I," "Frankenstein," "Impersonation of Being Earnest," "Macbeth," and "Big Love." He was named Actor of the Year at the International Modeling and Talent Associations Los Angeles competition in 2011. He would like to thank his family and friends, whom without, he wouldn’t have the courage to pursue his passion.

We're so happy to share another one of our amazing cast members with you! Kristen Taylor is a Kentucky-born actress, singer, musician, writer, and theatre-maker currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a B.A. in theatre performance from UK and we are lucky to have her returning to our AWTC family after she interned with with us in our 2018-19 season! She is a proud member of the Society of American Fight Directors as an actor combatant and she is one of the founding members of Some Bodies Theatre Co. in Atlanta, Georgia. Kristen has collaborated on stage and screen for over 20 years. Some of her recent roles include Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at RoleCall Theatre, June Carter in the tour of Nobody Could Hurt Like Hank, and Maxine in A Madwoman’s Breakfast for Some Bodies Theatre Co. She is thrilled to be back home in the bluegrass working with an amazing group of artists to bring this incredible piece of Shakespeare to life using the very roots of her upbringing. We're lucky to also feature original songs written by Kristen for this production. She'll be performing them as her character "Feste", and we can't wait for everyone to see and hear her incredible work! We'd like to introduce another one of our incredible cast members of Twelfth Night: Brian Mulholland - who is playing the delightfully hilarious, Malvolio.
Brian is making his second appearance with AthensWest, having previously played George in our production of "Who’s Afraid of
Virginia Woolf?" (also directed by Drew Fracher!) Brian has appeared in leading roles for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Southwest Shakespeare Festival, Montana Repertory Theatre, Hudson Theatre (Los Angeles), and Seattle’s Palace Theatre, among others. Some of his favorite roles include Angelo in "Measure for Measure," Sir Francis Chesney in "Where’s Charley?," Colonel Chipman in "The Andersonville Trial," Sky Masterson in "Guys & Dolls," Gene in "Manhattan Hurts," and Harry Fatt in Joseph Losey’s production of "Waiting for Lefty."
Brian's television credits include guest appearances on thirty-something, The Judge, Highway to Heaven, Designing Women, Re*****on Steele, and a co-starring role in the TV-movie The Case of the Hillside Stranglers. His play, The Return of Tartuffe, was named winner of the Stanley Drama Award and the Ashland New Plays Festival.

It's time to meet the incredible cast of Twelfth Night! Today we'd like to Introduce Maggie Lou Rader, who appears as Olivia in our production.
An Oklahoma native, Maggie Lou attended William Jewell College in Kansas City, Oxford University, and the Birmingham School of Acting in the UK. She’s performed regionally and internationally with the Human Race Theatre, Kentucky Shakespeare, Know Theatre, StageOne, Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park, Playhouse In the Park, and Birmingham Old Rep. She’s also had had the joy of being an ensemble member at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company for over a decade. Some of her favorite memories on stage have been playing Maggie in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," June in the Rolling World Premiere of "Alabaster," Jo March in "Little Women," Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley in "Mary’s Monster," and Marie Antoinette in "The Revolutionists." In addition to being a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association, she is also a member of the Dramatists Guild and an award-winning playwright who writes epic plays about epic women.
